Everett *Finally* Comes Clean, Just as Jada Reveals Who Her Ex-Husband Is

Days' Chad glaring at Everett as he opens his hotel room door

In Salem today, Konstantin and Maggie run into each other in front of the Brady Pub. He thanks her for paying for his stay at the Salem Inn and tells her he can’t go back to Greece. He’d love to tell her why over some coffee.

Inside the pub, Alex and Theresa are enjoying dinner, hinting that they could have some more “fun” after. She was hoping for a fancier meal, but she’s still having an amazing night. “There’s nothing that can ruin it right now.” Maggie and Konstantin enter and Alex notices something is off. He sees the two, understands and tries rushing he and Theresa out.

Konstantin stops them and apologizes to Theresa for accusing her of being a deceitful, dishonest gold digger. She says it’s all good and she appreciates how just because she’s with someone wealthy, it doesn’t make her a gold digger. She’s sure they can say the same thing about Konstantin…

Back home, Theresa doesn’t think Konstantin is sincere. He did it to win over Maggie. Alex can’t get a good read on him, though. But maybe he’ll keep an eye on him. Theresa backs off as Alex gets too close to the truth. Instead, Alex mentions the housekeeper came by and cleaned his sheets, so maybe they should try them out. She’d rather stay on the couch, and they start going at it.

Maggie thinks Konstantin’s apology was gracious and makes it clear she doesn’t think of him as a gold digger, even though he’s made bad choices. He tells her he’s a survivor and spins more stories about Young Victor before she pushes him to explain why he’s not going to Greece. The Greek mafia agreed that they’d leave him alone if he paid… and never returned to Greece again.

He assures Maggie he’s not her responsibility and reaches out to touch her hand, which she pulls away. John walks in just then. He’ll stay at the Inn for now, thanks to her generosity, then figure it out. His visa won’t let him stay long, unless he gets a job or claims asylum or… marries a US citizen.

Over at the Johnsons, John and Steve decide it’s time to step up their investigation into Konstantin. Steve fills his partner in on how Konstantin tried weaseling out of everything they dug up. John laughs at the whole Greek mafia thing and the two determine the only way to expose him as a liar is to prove he faked Victoria’s kidnapping.

John muses that he needed help to make it happen. They just need to find “this hooligan” and unravel the plan. There’s a lot of security cameras around the Kiriakis mansion, they’ll just find the right one that recorded the kidnapper. They narrow it down to a park, tap into the camera feed and find the kidnapper in seconds. The footage isn’t good enough to tell who did it, so they’re sending it off to Shane for the ISA to enhance.

Out in the square, Stephanie confronts Chad over buying the paper to fire Everett. “Look, I know you’re upset.” She’s not upset. She’s appalled. She explains how they figured it all out, since he’s determined to play dumb. “So. Let me ask you again.”

“No. Need. It’s true. I fired Everett.” She doesn’t understand why he’d do it. “Because I’m a jealous idiot, that’s why.” He could tell Everett was moving in on her after hiring her for PR. Stephanie snaps back that she’s sure she was only hired because he wanted her, not because she’s good at her job. “Of course you did. I’m just a fickle, shallow person who just gets reeled in and has no sense of loyalty.”

She then brings it back around to Alex, but at least Chad talked to him and didn’t do something like this. They then go through their problems, like Chad refusing to commit to her. “Everett may be an interloper, but at least he was willing to marry me.” Chad’s upset at hearing this and finding out that Everett just recently told him he wanted to marry her.

Days' Chad and Stephanie arguing with each other in the Horton square

It’s ironic. The guy who ghosted her wanted to marry, while “the guy who’s living with me now, does not.” Chad won’t let go of whether or not she would have married her and she says that’s not the point. He was willing to commit. She storms off.

Chad shows up at Everett’s door and confronts him, refusing to leave when Everett tries closing the door on him. He can have his job back if he answers one question. “Are you in Salem to get Stephanie back?” Yes. He is. He loves her and wants her back. Chad thanks him for his honesty and walks off.

Rafe and Jada are being cutesy in bed when she asks him to stay the night. It’s tempting, but he left his spare razor at the station and can’t show up at work looking rough. She says she’ll just get one to keep at her place… and he asks her to move in with him. There’s no privacy here, between Roman downstairs and Harris living there and everyone knowing what they’re up to when he visits.

Days' Jada and Rafe in bed with her hand on his chest

Rafe’s a bit upset, though, when Jada thinks he’s joking. It seems a bit soon to her. She didn’t think they were there yet, but he’s been thinking about it since Gabi’s been gone. She hasn’t lived with someone in a long time, not since her ex husband. Rafe tries to get her to open up and she tells him she just flashed back to her ex proposing. It was super romantic and she happily said yes.

She thought it would be forever, but it wasn’t. Rafe gets it, he was married three times. And there’s no rush on the moving in thing. Jada assures him that she still believes in love and it can be forever. And she loves Rafe.

In the show’s final moments, Alex takes out the trash while Theresa puts on her kidnapping hoodie. Out in the hall, Alex sees Chad and gives him a key, telling him Stephanie left it for him. Stephanie shows up at Steve’s with a bag and tells him she moved out and wanted to move back home for a bit. Everett opens the ring case, thinking he’s got a second chance to marry her.

Jada and Rafe kiss some more, then he goes to take a shower. She takes out her phone to get a pic of the tree and starts scrolling through — only to gaze at a photo of her and Everett as she shows off an engagement ring!
