Nina returns to Genoa City to visit family and catch up with her old friend Christine. During their conversation, Christine opens up about her marriage ending with Paul and the emotions stirred since Danny returned to town. However, Nina should also keep an eye on what’s happening in her son Chance’s love life.

Despite dating Sharon, he’s formed a connection with summer while supporting her through her breakup with Kyle and the drama involving her mother Phyllis. At Society, Nina is with Christine when she receives a call from the hospital informing her that Chance has been shot. She rushes to his side, where he lies unconscious.

Holding his hand, she tearfully pleads for him to wake up.

Later, when summer visits Chance, she breaks down by his bedside, expressing her fear of losing him. Just then, Sharon enters the room. She’s aware of summer’s feelings and it seems she may need to address the issue.
