The concept of polygamy isn’t new for TLC viewers. Over the years, they have seen many families explore this idea in many seasons of Seeking Sister Wife. While the Brown family from Sister Wives was the OG, as time passed, the network kept roping more families in to showcase their own touch to this unique lifestyle. That’s how fans met the Davis family.
Nick Davis already had two wives when his journey on the show began. In their debut season, the Davis family successfully added a third wife to their equation, and in the latest season, they are in the middle of adding their fourth. Fans have been wondering after seeing many failed plural marriages on screen, how has Nick not managed to mess up? Well, we have the answers.
Seeking Sister Wife: Nick Might Just Be The Most Victorious Polygamist!
The Davis family has become popular thanks to Seeking Sister Wife. This family already had Nick, i.e., the polygamist, living with two wives at their debut. Before this, he first met April when he was in college, and then they both added Jennifer to the equation. Surprisingly, both these women aren’t married to Nick but each other and just took his last name.
Later in their debut season, Nick, April, and Jennifer courted Danielle, who also joined their family. Surprisingly, the polygamist isn’t the breadwinner. He lets his wives take center stage to earn a living while making them feel empowered. In the new season, all three wives met another woman, Jasmine, and everyone except Danielle wanted her to be a part of the family. The latter did struggle to accept this as she thought Nick already had enough wives and even moved out.
But at last, Danielle came to terms with Jasmine, and all of them began to court her. Seeking Sister Wife fans feel the reason why Nick has been successful with polygamy is that he first lets his wives feel the connection with the women they plan to court. That way, there is less scope for insecurities and jealousy among them. He also makes sure to prioritize every wife equally. For instance, he got into the hot tub with all three of them, including Jasmine, to know her better.
Nick letting his wives take over the steering wheel could be the reason why his polygamist arrangement has worked so well. Many viewers also saw Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield fail for the third time to add another woman to their family. Fans feel it looks like the former has just brainwashed his wife to let him do whatever he pleases and asks t hem to be submissive. It could be the reason why he has constantly failed as opposed to Nick, who has been successful in his polyamorous journey.
Seeking Sister Wife: Nick’s Family Has A Giant 12-Foot Bed!
As mentioned above, Nick makes sure he gives equal time to all his wives. Following this, the family proudly showed off their 12-foot bed in an episode. In it, all of them sleep together, but in the most literal sense. Things got a bit spicy when the Seeking Sister Wife polygamist said that they have a “boom boom room” i.e., a regular bedroom. He takes one of his wives there when they need some specific one-on-one time to get intimate.
At the same time, Nick is a stay-at-home dad who takes care of his kids. He doesn’t do cooking and cleaning as he has plenty of wives to look after every household chore to keep the family functioning. The star takes pride in calling himself a trophy husband. He mostly spends time in his studies gathering all the knowledge, specifically in physics, when he isn’t parenting.
