Nikolas Steals Liz’s Heart – Finn Pushed Aside After Cassadine Comeback?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that although Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) are growing closer, that certainly doesn’t guarantee their romantic future.

Many GH fans still aren’t feeling Finn and Liz as a couple, especially after those awkward Vermont scenes.

Every time they try to sell Liz and Finn as a steamy duo, it arguably just doesn’t work.

In the latest issue of SOD, Michael Easton himself admitted some issues with the pairing and talked about the struggle to get it back on track.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen with them, I really don’t,” Easton said about Finn and Liz’s romance. “I actually thought it was done and then they re-engaged it.”

Easton went on to talk about TBTB “trying to go all-in and see what happens with it,” but he acknowledged that it was tricky due to lost momentum.

If Liz and Finn’s love story ultimately doesn’t work out, Easton suggested that they’ll find another story route instead.

It just seems like Finn and Elizabeth may be destined to fail, so maybe that’ll open the door for Liz to reunite with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) when he returns to Port Charles.

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) recently admitted to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that she doubted Nikolas would face charges if he came home.

Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) can’t testify against Nikolas for holding her hostage if she doesn’t remember him doing it.

The cops only have Elizabeth’s statement, but that’s not enough to lock Nikolas up in Alexis’ expert opinion.

During the week of November 6-10, Elizabeth will end up doing some venting. We’ll see Liz rant during a conversation with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), so she may voice her frustrations over Nikolas’ behavior.

Elizabeth is always going to care about Nikolas, so that’s why she’ll still be so fired up about him. If Nikolas didn’t matter to Liz, she’d be far more indifferent about his actions.

Liz is someone who knows there’s good in Nikolas despite his mistakes, so she may wish he’d straighten up and be there for his sons.

Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) need their father, so Elizabeth may express hope that he can turn his life around and come home to be a good dad.

Now that Alexis has established that Nik will probably remain a free man, the show seems to be setting his Port Charles return in motion.

Liz and Finn’s relationship will be put to the test down the road, so will that happen due to Nikolas resurfacing?

Could Nikolas give Liz another romantic option and a chance at a sizzling reunion?

Nikolas might steal Liz’s heart and leave Finn feeling pushed aside, so stay tuned to for updates on any Cassadine comeback news.
