General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will explode with fury at Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) after learning the truth about Austin and his cousin Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) mysterious boss from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard).

Sonny, who has been suspicious of Austin ever since Ava spilled the details of what happened with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and Austin’s role in helping, drops the bombshell that Austin and Mason’s boss is no other than Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). She’s in disbelief.

“How can that be?” she asks. Sonny runs down the timeline of events: Sonny plants the false evidence that fake nanny Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) finds and swipes.

Shortly thereafter Austin just happens to show up at Pentonville to treat an unknown inmate. Sonny gets arrested.

While he makes it clear that he has no shortage of enemies in the prison, he also reveals that Austin played an instrumental role in getting Cyrus released by testifying at his parole hearing that due to his health Cyrus poses no threat if released.

Sonny further paints the picture that while Austin was at the parole hearing his cousin Mason had abducted Ava and was holding her hostage.

Ava rationalizes that if she was being held captive by Mason and Austin was giving his professional opinion that Cyrus was harmless to the parole board, then Austin was being forced to do that to protect Ava and secure her safe return.

Sonny acknowledges that possibility, but he points out that Austin never warned Ava to be on guard, that he was testifying for Cyrus or that Cyrus was the big boss controlling him and Mason.

Ava confirms that Austin never clued her in to any of that. Sonny delivers are hard truth: regardless as to what Austin might feel romantically for Ava, his first loyalty is to Cyrus, a man they both despise and consider an enemy.

Recently Ava learned that Nikolas is alive.

When Ava confronted Austin with that news, as he had been the one to confirm that Nikolas was dead after Ava hit him over the head with the gargoyle statuette for threatening hers and Sonny’s daughter Avery Corinthos (Ava & Grace Scarola), he feigned shock and protested that he truly believed that Nikolas had been killed and that he had no idea that he was alive.

However, after all that she has learned from her recent conversation with Sonny, Ava is now replaying the events in her mind.

GH fans saw that Ava was shocked, desperate, and panic-stricken after “killing” her ex-husband.

Austin, who just happened to show up at Wyndemere to warn her about Mason, was comforting and helpful and Ava trusted him to help her move the body.

Ava remembers that Mason later confronted her with the fact that Nikolas’s body which had been hidden then went missing was now in his possession and that if she didn’t want to go to prison then she would be doing exactly as he and his and Austin’s boss said.

It was Austin who advised her to do what Mason told her and that things would be alright.

With Nikolas being alive, she knows Mason was lying about having his body and realizes that Austin has probably lying too about everything.

When she was at her most vulnerable, she trusted this man, this doctor with an honorable reputation.

Through Austin’s lies Ava grew closer and closer to him, even becoming intimate. She allowed herself to be manipulated and couldn’t see through the charade.

Spoilers reveal that Austin should be revealing some very shocking info to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) soon, most likely the truth about everything that went down with Nikolas.

Such information will infuriate Ava even more than she already is.

Not only would Austin be spilling the beans about Ava’s assault on Nikolas and attempts to hide a “corpse”, but it would be confirmation that everything that Ava has now come to suspect about Austin’s lies will be proven true.

Ava has been played for a fool for months by Cyrus, Mason and Austin himself and no one plays Ava Jerome for a fool and gets away with it!

General Hospital spoilers say Ava will be ready to explode and unleash her wrath after tracking Austin down for a heated confrontation. Once that happens revenge can’t be far behind.

Ava has been written as a watered-down version of herself for far too long.
