Ava Kills Mason In Shocking Confrontation – Austin Partner In Crime For Cover-Up, Again

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint at some shocking events set to take place in the land of Port Charles. Ava Jerome (Maura West) thought she could breathe a sigh of relief after going to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about the blackmail she suffered at the hands of Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey).

The ultimate goal was for the co-parents to protect their daughter, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), but when Sonny set up Mason’s crony, the vile nanny Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini), they ended up getting little information on who Gatlin’s boss actually was.

In fact, in some ways, planting the fake Pikeman info. for Betty to take, bite both Sonny and Ava in the butt.

While Sonny now knows whoever Mason’s boss is, he’s working with the feds, the entire debacle has only angered Mason (and everyone else involved).

Mason recently approached Ava, issuing more threats. While Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is very much alive, she doesn’t know that and still (technically) remains under Mason’s thumb.

Still, the thug can smell a rat with this entire situation, even though Ava was adamant about blaming Betty for grabbing the wrong information and did her best to play dumb.

Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) did not like looking stupid in front of the feds and his warden friend, therefore, someone is going to have to pay for making him look incapable, and that someone could be Ava.

With that being said, Ava’s a survivor and always has been. Cyrus could give Mason orders to “get rid of” Ava, and he’ll be more than happy to do so. If this happens, it’ll be fight-or-flight mode for Ava, and if attacked, she’ll strike back.

But could Ava end up re-living a nightmare? As Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) is like her shadow lately, could he stumble into the circumstance after Ava has killed Austin in self-defense?

The two would naturally think that covering this situation up, as they “covered” the Nik situation, would be the only way to go. However, unlike Nik, Mason would really be a goner.

GH spoilers suggest some over-the-top plot twists this fall, so fans need to brace themselves and ensure to tune into the ABC soap daily to see what happens next.
