The Young and the Restless has upped the stakes about as high as they can go with Claire and Great Aunt Jordan’s scheme to wipe out Nikki’s entire family. As teased in the preview for the week of November 27, the homicidal maniacs are about to poison the Newmans, giving Victor, Nick and Victoria all heart attacks. (See below.)

Presumably, Nikki’s fix is equally dire; Claire and Jordan just seem to want to watch her suffer more first.
Will any of the Newmans actually fall prey to the poison that they’ve ingested? Doubtful. Eric Braeden has said that he has no intention of retiring, Amelia Heinle and Joshua Morrow are frontburner mainstays, and Melody Thomas Scott’s character has just been moved to a pivotal role in Genoa City’s corporate goings-on.
What we suspect will happen is that the black sheep of the Newman family will ride to the rescue, thereby making it hard, if not impossible, for Nikki, Victoria and Nick to any longer write off Adam as hopelessly self-absorbed. Like it or not, they’ll all be indebted to him!
