Young and the Restless comings and goings promise Chelsea Lawson will be back in Genoa City soon as the actress’s maternity leave is over. But, she may return to a whole lot of drama on the CBS sudser.
Young and the Restless: Chelsea Lawson Out of Town
Y&R casting updates recall Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) left Genoa City recently with her son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). He was having some issues and acting out. So, Chelsea thought it would be best for them to get out of GC for a bit, hoping it would help him.
In real life, the Chelsea actress had just welcomed her newest son. So, she was going on maternity leave. And that’s why she’s been off the canvas for a while. But we are happy to report that she’ll be returning to Genoa City shortly.
Melissa Claire Egan Back in Action on Y&R
Young and the Restless casting updates confirm Melissa Claire Egan mentioned she has already filmed her first episode back. And Chelsea will air again in a few weeks. No doubt, fans are ecstatic to see Chelsea back in the mix.
Plus, we can’t wait to see what’s next for Connor — if he’s in a better place now or still struggling. Of course, his state of mind will greatly impact his father, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Indeed, Adam has a lot on his plate right now on Young and the Restless.
And Chelsea may feel the need to help him out because he’s the father of her son. There’s a ton of drama in the Newman family, and Chelsea might put herself right in the middle of it. Not to mention, her boyfriend, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), is neck deep in family drama also.
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is out to get him and the rest of the Abbotts. So Chelsea certainly has her work cut out for her because of the men in her life. And it will be interesting to see how she handles it.
Will Chelsea and Billy Make It on Young and the Restless?
When she does come home on Y&R, she’s likely to be in for a major shock. When Billy first decided to help his brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) stop Tucker, Chelsea was concerned.
She worried that Billy’s scheming with Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) could make him revert to his old, self-destructive ways.
And she was right to worry because Billy started getting power-hungry and wanted to take over Jabot Cosmetics. Then, his relationship with Jack started to suffer. And now, Tucker is hacking into his finances.
So, Billy is in a world of trouble and it might be too much for Chelsea. Of course, she’ll want to help Billy. But, if he starts to spiral, she may need to take a step back for her sake and Connor’s also.
