Tracy Receives Devastating Information — and Charlotte’s Taken up a Chilling New Hobby

Tracy finds Brook Lynn at the hospital and asks why she hasn’t been returning her calls. Brook Lynn says she has nothing to say to the woman who cost her her job. BLQ vents that they were supposed to be family, and she preyed on her worst fears of losing Chase to get what she wanted. Tracy insists everything she did was for her own good.

Brook Lynn doesn’t think losing her job or her friends was for her own good. Tracy again says she shouldn’t be sulking, she should be thanking her. Brook Lynn realizes she’s right, now that she’s free from Deception she’s going back to music. Tracy won’t let that happen as music was her father’s downfall. Brook Lynn says she has no more blackmail to hold over her, and she hopes Deception was worth losing her granddaughter.

Gregory approaches Liz and is hoping to see Dr. Bronson if he’s still in. She says she’ll check his schedule. Finn arrives, and Liz explains his father is here for Dr. Bronson. Finn asks to talk to his dad before meeting his doctor, so they step aside.

Gregory assumes Finn has something important to say. Finn says this is about his ALS treatment. Finn knows this is his dad’s disease, and how he manages it is up to him. Gregory notes nobody manages ALS, and he knows what is coming down the line for him. Finn is concerned about his quality of life, and he has options that he feels his dad doesn’t know about.

Gregory asks if there are other treatments. Finn says he had holistic options in mind, and they should also look into other doctors. Gregory asks if Dr. Bronson isn’t any good. Finn says he is, but he only treats the symptoms, not the patient, and Liz agrees with him on this.

Gregory assumes Liz put Finn up to this and confronts her. She hopes she didn’t overstep. Finn explains they both have reservations about his doctor, and they both think there is someone better out there for him. He asks for his dad’s permission to find that someone. Gregory thanks them both for looking out for him, so he gives Finn his permission to find him a new doctor. Finn is relieved and grateful, and Gregory is glad they spoke up.

Gregory opens up to Liz GH

Finn is paged and leaves to take a call. Gregory tells Liz a new doctor may not make a difference, but if it gives Finn a sense of control then it’s worth it. He’s also glad Finn has her support through this.

Tracy happens upon Finn and says she needs a level five backgammon game, and she really needs a win. She spots Gregory talking to Liz and asks why he’s here so late. Finn says she’ll have to ask him, but they can schedule a game tomorrow.

Gregory approaches Finn and Tracy and points out that Tracy is here late. Tracy explains she had a late board meeting, and got blasted by her granddaughter, so she could use a drink. Gregory offers to get her a soda to lift her spirits, so she accepts his kind offer. They walk off, and Finn says seeing his dad in his element makes him think for a moment everything is normal. He tells Liz he doesn’t have the words to tell her what it means to have her as he goes through this.

Meanwhile, Gregory grabs them some ginger ale cans, but he can’t open his. She asks if he’s okay. He admits he’s not, and it’s about time she knew. He reveals he has ALS. She gasps, “Gregory no!”

At Maxie’s new place, James asks his grandma what she’s doing, and Felicia explains it’s her homework. James thinks his grandma is a little old for homework. Mac appears and says you’re never too old to stop learning. James thinks like just like Cody teaching him how to tie a slip not, which he shows them. Mac is impressed, and Felicia says that Cody is full of surprises. James wants to go visit Cody at the stables tomorrow, but Mac explains Cody’s going to be away for a while. He promises James they’ll visit Cody when he comes back.

Soon the doorbell rings, and it’s Lucy and Scott with a bottle of champagne. Lucy says, “Surprise!”  Mac and Felicia invite them in and ask what brings them by. Scott says Lucy’s been down in the dumps and he thought a game night would cheer everyone up. James says he likes games, but Felicia says these aren’t the kinds he’d like. She takes James to his bedroom to read him a story.

Mac, Lucy and Scott sit down and Scott breaks out a deck of cards. Scott tries to tell Lucy she has nothing to worry about, and that there is nothing she can do about the situation right now anyway. Lucy says, “Aside from killing Tracy!” Maxie walks in and replies, “Get in line!”

As Lucy and Maxie try and come up with creative ways to off Tracy, Mac reminds them the police commissioner is in the room. Felica rejoins them and tells them Georgie and Baily Lu are asleep so quiet down. Lucy and Maxie vent over what Tracy has cost them. Felicia believes they’ll come out of this, dust themselves off, and find a new endeavor. Maxie says it’s not that easy, and Tracy wants 75 percent of their company. Lucy admits she got a better offer out of Tracy. Maxie wonders when she was going to tell her this.

When Maxie learns of Tracy’s offer, she’s furious Lucy turned her down over the ELQ voting rights. Scott defends Lucy, and as everyone yells at one another, James comes out and says their game is very loud and to play something else. Maxie cries she never thought Lucy could be so selfish and leaves to put James back to bed. Lucy storms out, and Scott follows her.

Outside, Lucy asks if this is karma. Scott says if karma was a thing, she’d be the Queen of England. She knows he’s always been her knight in shining armor. He promises her things will work out, and they embrace.

At the cabin, Cody suggests to Sasha they could just run away. Sasha says they have a car and a bit of cash thanks to Sam, but no phones, and no IDs. They are also escaped mental patients who are considered dangerous. Sasha won’t let him get himself in any deeper trouble for her. Cody says he’s no hero, and things wouldn’t have gotten this bad if he had been honest from the start. She asks how he’s been dishonest.

Cody admits he knew Gladys was in the red for months, and he knew about her selling Brando’s garage to cover her debt. She asks why he didn’t tell her. He tried to convince himself that she was in pain and so dependent on Gladys, but the truth is he didn’t want to ruin his arrangement with Selina. He tells her he needed the cash, tending stables doesn’t pay much, and soon Selina told him that he didn’t have the option to quit or talk. He kept quiet, even when he knew Gladys was playing her.

Sasha tells him she remembers things differently, and he was always warning her not to trust Gladys and she didn’t listen. Cody says he didn’t tell her the whole truth, and he kept his mouth shut so as to not cross Selina. Sasha asks why he changed his mind. He admits it was looking into her eyes when she stabbed him, he knew she wasn’t in her right mind, and that she had been set up. He couldn’t live with himself if he didn’t try to help her. Sasha thanks him, but he says they aren’t out of the woods yet. Sasha is still thankful for the rescue, but more thankful that he believed in her.

Cody guesses they aren’t going anywhere after all, and Sasha says they should wait for Dante and Sam and see what they find. He suggests she get to bed, but when she learns he’s going to sleep in the chair again, she refuses to allow it. Later, Sasha finds Cody ended up bunking on the floor next to the bed.

In Olivia’s office, Nina watches the footage of Charlotte breaking into Anna’s suite on the computer. Charlotte and Valentin enter, and Charlotte is so happy to see Nina. Nina and Charlotte hug, and she asks what brings her by. Charlotte says she just wanted to see her papa.

Valentin asks what she did today, and Charlotte explains she’s been with Jake. She shows them photos of her and Jake’s day. Valentin notes it’s late and so as to not interrupt Dante and Sam that she should stay with Nina. Nina thinks that’s a great idea, and says she’ll meet them in the lobby after she closes up. Valentin whispers to Nina, “Get it off the server,” before leaving with Charlotte.

Valentin, Charlotte and Nina arrive at Nina’s place. She takes Charlotte to the guest room, and Valentin calls and leaves a message with Anna and explains he’s taken Charlotte to Nina’s for the night.

Later, Valentin tucks Charlotte into bed, and says he’s sorry hasn’t found a house for them to live in yet. She says you and me… and Anna. He tells her yes, and Anna. She hopes he finds a house soon as she wants them to be together forever. Valentin says he loves her and kisses her goodnight.

In the living room, Valentin thanks Nina for letting Charlotte stay here, and he can’t have her near Anna. He’s a wreck, and Nina says they don’t really know what happened in that suite. Nina advises he go back to Anna, and she’s here for him and Charlotte. Valentin says he’ll be back in the morning and departs.

Anna visits Sonny at his office and asks if his offer of protection still stands. Sonny thought she didn’t want it. She fills him in on the break-in at her suite, and she feels like the walls are closing in on her. This attack was personal, they came into her space and touched her things. Sonny asks if she checked the security footage, and Anna says Valentin did and told her the footage was missing. He asks, “Is that what Valentin said?

Anna doesn’t believe it was Valentin, though she is aware of his shortcomings as is Sonny, yet he still chooses to work with him. Sonny notes Valentin also brought Pikeman into their lives. Anna ignores a call from Valentin and then brings up the shooting at the pool. She believes that was aimed at Sonny. It was a public attack, while her house fire and suite were private attacks. She believes there are two different people at work here. Sonny asks if the shooting was a warning from Pikeman. Anna adds, and possibly the WSB. She warns him there could be a link between the two. Sonny promises to get her security and warns whoever is after her likely won’t stop anytime soon.

Later, Nina calls Sonny to let him know she can’t come home tonight as she has Charlotte with her after someone broke into Anna’s suite. Sonny relays that Anna told him, and he is surprised someone was able to break into the security system at the Metro Court and steal the footage. He says he’ll miss her and tells her to have fun with Charlotte.

Anna returns to the suite and looks at the message on the bathroom mirror. Valentin arrives and stands by her side.

Back at Nina’s place, Charlotte sits up in her bed and pulls out a deck of Tarot cards. She begins dealing them into a triangular spread. They appear to almost all be from the deck of swords or wands, many of which signify battle, war, victory, defeat, despair, loss etc. She smiles.
