The Young and the Restless Update: Monday, October 16 – Sally’s Tearful Admission, Mental Health Crisis and Problematic Exes

Big Update! Sally’s Tearful Admission, Mental Health Crisis and Problematic Exes

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, October 16, reveals that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will seem starstruck by yet another Newman family member. It’ll be Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) who leaves Claire gushing over what an honor it is to meet her.

Claire will also have a surprising encounter with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) when she runs into him and sends her tablet flying to the floor.

Nate will be kind enough to pick it up and will share some nice moments with Claire as they get to know each other.

Back with Victoria, she’ll be frustrated as she tries to get Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to take her concerns about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) seriously.

Nikki won’t think Victoria should read too much into the “Nicholas” mistake, but Victoria will push her mom to confess she’s worried as well.

However, Nate will derail the conversation before Victoria can pry much of anything out of Nikki.

After Nate tries to reassure Victoria, he’ll convince her to have a relaxing meal with him at the athletic club.

Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will blow off some steam on the punching bag as Victor holds it.

Victor will get some good punches in as well, but he’ll deny calling Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) “Nicholas” when Nick brings it up.

At the GCAC later, Victor will seem confused and make some strange comments that catch Nick off guard – like one about Victoria working at Newman Media and another one about the baby Adam and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) still have on the way.

Nick will gently correct Victor after he makes those mistakes, but Y&R spoilers say Victor will seem out of sorts – like he’s not all there mentally.

After Victor leaves the bar, Nick will look deep in thought. Nearby, Victor will gaze back at Nick to see if his plan to fake his mental decline is working.

Victoria and Nate will eventually arrive to have dinner at the athletic club, so they’ll find an uneasy Nick there.

Nick will admit that Victoria might be right about their dad, so he’ll prepare to tell her about Victor’s disturbing blunders.

Upstairs, Adam will show up at Sally’s door and pester her until she lets him in.

Sally will give Adam the five minutes he begs for, so he’ll mention that he overheard her talking to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) about her venture.

Adam will question whether Sally really thinks Nick would call off his investment, but she won’t know anything for sure now that he’s ended their relationship.

Although Adam will offer to speak with Nick, Sally will act like he’s done enough and be sick of people treating her like she’s fragile.

Adam will compare some of Sally’s good qualities to his mother, but that’ll manage to set her off, too.

It’ll become clear that Sally needs to unleash her wrath, so Adam will push her to really let him have it.

During Sally’s rant, she’ll cry angry tears and act like Adam ruined her almost happiness with Nick, but her whole outburst will build to her admitting she can’t let Adam go either.

Despite Adam’s desire to stay and talk about that confession, Sally will practically force him out the door and will sob once she’s by herself.

At Society, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will eavesdrop as she walks in on Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) discussing her plan to get a rental in town.

Heather will want Daniel to search for her since he’s already doing house-hunting anyway.

Lily will join the conversation, so she’ll question why Heather decided to make the move and seem a little miffed that Daniel didn’t tell her before now.

Daniel will act like Heather was on the fence before and only recently made this decision official.

Heather will be rather bored with courtroom battles, so she’ll suggest maybe she could send her resume and recommendations to Chancellor-Winters for a spot on their legal team.

Although Chancellor-Winters will indeed have some openings in that department, Lily won’t seem thrilled about the idea of Heather working there – though she’ll agree to look into it.

Heather will look forward to being a family with Daniel and Lucy again, so she’ll look at a picture of the three of them together back in her suite.

As for Lily, she’ll privately talk to Daniel about Heather’s big move.

Lily will be glad that Daniel’s going to spend more time with Lucy – and she’ll claim she doesn’t think a reunion will happen between Heather and Daniel.

Even so, Lily will feel like having Heather around could trigger some of Daniel’s former patterns and lead him down the wrong path again.

Daniel will promise that’s not going to happen and try to convince Lily that he’s all in on their future together.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Daniel and Heather’s connection will inevitably become a bigger problem, so stay tuned for updates on the bad news that could be brewing.
