Phyllis’ Romantic Trap for Summer & Kyle – Refuses to Accept Divorce
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will fear her chance at reconciliation is slipping away. Y&R fans know that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) weren’t very receptive to Phyllis’ celebration in the park after she scored her freedom.
Although Phyllis was hoping for a clean slate, Daniel and Summer made it clear that she’d have to earn their trust again.
Now Phyllis is stuck trying to figure out a way to make amends after blowing it big time with both of her children.
Of course, Phyllis’ relationship with Summer was particularly damaged since she told her daughter the truth about her survival and pushed her to keep quiet.
Summer hid that shocker from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), who was furious when he found out she sat on that information and let Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) suffer.
The trust between Kyle and Summer was shattered, so Kyle just doesn’t see any path forward at this point.
Kyle has also hurt Summer deeply by sleeping with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), so their marriage is a mess – and Phyllis set that mess in motion!
That’s why Phyllis will apparently be determined to fit it during the week of September 4-8.
Y&R fans can expect Phyllis to play Cupid, so that may involve a romantic trap for Kyle and Summer. It’s easy to imagine Phyllis hearing the divorce news and refusing to accept it.
If Summer and Kyle officially split, then Phyllis may fear there’ll be no hope when it comes to truly restoring her mother-daughter bond.
Phyllis desperately wants to repair the damage she caused, so she may think the only way to do that is to push Kyle and Summer back together.
Since we know a matchmaking plot is on the way, Phyllis might trick Summer and Kyle into meeting up.
Perhaps Phyllis will arrange a romantic evening and set a trap that she hopes will rekindle things for the estranged spouses.
That plan could backfire spectacularly since most of Phyllis’ schemes tend to end in disaster. Nevertheless, Phyllis may feel like she has to plot a “Skyle” reunion and at least give this one last try.
