DOOL Recasts Holly & Tate for New Teen Scene – Everything We Know So Far
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that fans are buzzing about the show’s decision to recast a couple of crucial characters. Since the show doesn’t have a teen scene at the moment, DOOL’s going to rapidly age Holly Jonas (last played by Elin Alexander) and Tate Black (last played by Colin and Kyle Schroeder) for some new storylines.
Of course, the timing is perfect since Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) is back in town.
Theresa keeps mentioning that Tate is in boarding school, but it seems he’ll get thrown out and land back in Salem soon enough.
During the week of September 18-22, Theresa and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will find out that Tate’s been causing trouble.
That should lead to the new Tate’s debut within the next few weeks as he comes home and becomes a problem for his parents to deal with.
Although this casting news hasn’t been confirmed just yet, Days buzz hints that Jamie Martin Mann may be playing the new Tate Black.
Mann certainly looks the part and seems like he’ll be a great addition if that’s the case.
We can’t forget about Holly either since she’ll likely become Tate’s love interest.
Holly could easily get involved in Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) paternity drama as well once she appears as a sassy teenager.
Days spoilers say Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will move in with Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and get an unexpected visitor during the week of September 25-29.
Could a rapidly aged Holly arrive at Eric’s door?
It might be fun if Holly showed up insisting Eric couldn’t let Nicole go through with marrying EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) or something along those lines.
Holly may reveal her agenda as an “Ericole” shipper!
Regardless, Holly will become a victim of SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) and will most likely appear in the next few weeks as well.
There’s Days buzz about Ashley Puzemis being the new Holly based on her recent Instagram follows, which include several DOOL cast members like Arianne Zucker as well as Janet Spellman-Drucker, who recently replaced Albert Alarr in the co-executive producer role.
It’s possible Puzemis could be playing another member of the teen scene assuming that the show expands it beyond these two additions, but we’d say Holly is a safe bet.
The show recently put out a new casting call for actors who’ll be playing high school students in scenes that’ll film soon, so that means they’ll still be telling teen stories in 2024.
It sounds like Tate and Holly will be sticking around, so they’ll need some friends and other people to interact with eventually!
