The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, September 1, reveal that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will get under Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) skin. There’s a good chance Billy will find Adam drowning his sorrows and assume Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has pulled the rug out from under him again.
Billy will provoke Adam over his failure to earn Daddy’s approval, so he may add fuel to the fire when it comes to Adam’s revenge plot. Adam will indeed plan to make Victor pay for pushing him out at Newman Media, so that could bring some concerns for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Nikki will have a new mission for Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), who’ll learn she’ll be Nikki’s COO thanks to Victor’s decision to put his wife in charge. Y&R spoilers say Nikki will formally accept the Newman Media CEO job soon, so Audra will have to report for duty.
It’ll be interesting to see what exactly Nikki wants Audra to do. There’s a chance Nikki will urge Audra to spy on Adam and try to block whatever vengeful move he might make next.
However, it’s also possible Nikki will want Audra to use her powers of persuasion on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
Nikki may suspect that Nate won’t like the idea of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) being Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) co-CEO, which is what Victor wants.
Perhaps Nikki will tell Audra to smooth things over and stop Nate from pushing his way into sharing the throne with Victoria.
Then again, Nikki might take a more underhanded approach if she wants Audra to split Victoria and Nate up!
Since Nikki still doesn’t trust Nate and doesn’t approve of his relationship with Victoria, she might think Audra is the perfect person to come between them.
Regardless, Nikki will definitely have an assignment for Audra to tackle, so she’ll get new orders as the week winds down.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will face a turning point. Ashley will reflect on Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) saving her life and will decide maybe Diane isn’t as evil as she thought.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Ashley will ever truly like Diane or approve of her marriage to Jack. That said, Ashley will understand that love is complicated – as evidenced by her own romance with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
In the end, Ashley and Jack will settle on a real truce. There were some doubts about the other one being genuine, but Jack and Ashley should finally be on the same page about finding common ground.
