Martha Madison’s Appreciation Post Before Impending Exit
Recently, TV Season & Spoilers reported the bumming news of Martha Madison exiting Days of Our Lives later this year. The fan favorite star has been on the Peacock soap on and off for nearly two decades. In fact, earlier in August, 2023, she marked her 19th anniversary on the soap. It literally breaks our heart to know that Belle Black will be off the screen before Martha could have got the chance to ring in the big 20. Reports suggest that the phenomenal actress has already filmed her final episodes back in Spring. The episodes are slated to hit the screens in November, 2023.
Speaking to TV Insider, Martha had admitted that ever since Days of Our Lives squash her and EJ’s story, it sort of lost it’s touch. Thus, she wasn’t surprised that the makers were willing to write her character off. She also pointed that the story-telling today is not what it was when she had joined the soap. However, even though Martha is bidding goodbye to a project that was home to her for so long. She has some incredible memories to take away with her. And one of the most recent one seems like the best farewell gift!
Martha Gushes About Her Magical Moment On Days of Our Lives
Martha Madison took to her social media account to write an appreciation post for the amazing experience. Speaking about the “privilege” of working with Dick Van Dyke on Days of Our Lives. The Peacock soap made an exemplary mark in the soap universe by roping in the legendary Dick Van Dyke for a stint on DOOL. He was introduced as a mystery patient with holes in his memory. However, later he got reunited with his long-lost son. John Black and his family. This, made him Belle Black’s grandfather! And Martha can’t stop raving about it!
Martha wrote on X (previously Twitter) that there are some very magical moments in life. However, the time she got to play Dick Van Dyke’s granddaughter “will forever top that list.” The Days of Our Lives star signed off her post with a star and star eyed emojis. Perhaps hinting at how star struck she was by her legendary co-star! We are glad that Martha had this imminent experience before exiting the soap. Although we still hope that she and the makers will manage to write a comeback story for Belle in the future again!
