Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) wanted to keep going after the crash and

make sure they arrived at the submarine in time for its departure, but Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) insisted on checking on the other driver.

Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) eventually regained consciousness on Monday’s Days episode, so Dimitri and Leo moved her to the ground near the car.

Once Nicole realized she was in labor, she insisted the baby was coming and that Leo would have to deliver it.

Leo was wary at first, but he finally found his courage and helped Nicole bring her son into the world.

Since the baby was premature and needed to get checked out ASAP, Leo convinced Nicole to let Dimitri take the newborn to the hospital.

In the meantime, Leo waited with Nicole for help since it was too risky to move her without proper medical attention.

At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s DOOL show, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gave Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) updates on Nicole’s dropped phone call and how he thought he heard a crash.

Holly became frantic over her missing mom, but EJ told her to stay put and vowed to find Nicole.

However, Holly refused to just sit there waiting, so she gave Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) the troubling news about Nicole at the pub.

After Holly suddenly realized she had an app on her phone that was tracking Nicole’s location, she viewed it and saw that it was last updated from a remote area 45 minutes ago.

While Eric dashed off to search for Nicole, Tate took Holly back to the DiMera mansion and pulled her into a comforting embrace.

Back at the crash site on Monday’s Days episode, Eric found Leo with Nicole and learned she was OK.

Leo took off in a hurry before Nicole admitted to Eric that she had the baby, so Eric wondered where the baby was now.

Over with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), he found Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) at Dimitri and Leo’s former motel hideout.

Since Jada had been hit over the head and still seemed woozy, Rafe insisted on taking her to the hospital right away.

While Jada was getting examined, EJ cornered Rafe to fill him in on Nicole’s crisis, but there wasn’t much Rafe could do – especially since most of the Salem PD’s resources were focused on tracking down Leo and Dimitri.

EJ berated Rafe multiple times and wanted more resources devoted to finding Nicole, but Rafe fired back since Jada had been hurt.

After EJ made a snide remark about Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), Rafe said he’d let it slide since EJ was upset about Nicole. If it happened again, Rafe suggested EJ would have to come after him with assault charges!

When Dimitri appeared with the baby at the hospital, he spotted Rafe with EJ and left since he didn’t want to get caught.

As for Jada, the doctor told her she needed a CT scan and decided to keep her overnight for observation, but she wanted to keep helping with the fugitive hunt and chose to sneak off.

Once Rafe returned to the exam room, he was surprised to find that Jada was gone.

In the park on Monday’s Days episode, Jada caught up with Leo and felt this was going to be an easy arrest.

At Sloan Petersen-Brady’s (Jessica Serfaty) apartment, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) admitted that at the last second, the baby’s mother wanted to know who’d be raising her child.

Once she found out Sloan’s name and did an Internet search, she refused to let her adopt the baby.

Sloan realized she was costing Eric another kid and felt it was time for him to know Nicole’s child was his.

Melinda insisted Sloan couldn’t come clean, but Sloan acted like she could play off the wrong results as a lab mix-up.

Sloan thought that she could help Eric raise the baby once he was co-parenting with Nicole, but Melinda tried to talk her out of settling for that when she could have it all.

Nevertheless, Sloan stood her ground and felt she had to tell Eric the truth. Just as Sloan opened the door to leave, she was taken aback to see Dimitri standing there with a baby in his arms.
