General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the soap world is now reeling over another tough loss. Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas Cassadine) is dead at the age of 50 according to Maurice Benard’s (Sonny Corinthos) confirmation.

On Instagram, Benard shared the sad news and stunned fans with this devastating blow.

Christopher was known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine on GH as well as his run as Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives, so now the soap community is in mourning.

Many GH viewers always held out hope that Tyler Christopher might be able to make a comeback as Nikolas one day, so that makes Benard’s updates even more difficult to accept.

It’s always terrible when someone so talented passes away far too soon.

Christopher faced plenty of personal struggles, but he was an incredible performer who’ll be remembered for his gripping, emotional work over the years.

Benard also talked about Christopher being an advocate for better mental health and substance abuse treatment, especially since Christopher spoke so openly about his struggles with alcohol and bipolar depression.

This is definitely a crushing loss for Christopher’s family, friends, former co-stars and the fans who supported his career.
