Days of Our Lives is no stranger to bringing back people from the dead. Sometimes the returnees had only been faking their death. However, other times they truly did return from the great beyond. Not too long ago we saw Kate, Kayla and Marlena rise back to life after a short visit to Purgatory! Thus, bringing Abigail back does not feel like something too obscure, does it? Of course not! But why the need, you may ask? Well, for a simple reason that the makers seem unable or unwilling to let her go! So is her Halloween return going to turn into a full fledged one? Let’s find out!

Abigail Returns To Spell Horror On Halloween

Days of Our Lives has a long history of airing Halloween special episodes, that generally do not tie all that much to the regular on going storylines. This year was no different. One part of the Halloween special focused on Chad, Stephanie, Steve and Kayla. They sat down to perform a ritual to bring Abigail back to life. Unfortunately, things went a little haywire (as they generally do on DOOL) and they ended up performing a wrong ritual. Thus, in stead of bringing Abigail back to life, it turned her into a murderous undead!

She wreaked havoc immediately after, by claiming Steve and Kayla’s life on Days of Our Lives. And then, Chad wound up dead too! Thankfully, soon after that the nightmare ended and all lives were restored. One thing that was really amazing about the episode was, that they brought back Abigail’s character without even bringing her to the screen! But then isn’t that something they have doing ever since she passed? There is so much conversation about her that it almost feels like she is still here!

Is It Time To Recast Abigail on Days of Our Lives?

It really gives an impression that the makers are not ready to let go of the character yet on Days of Our Lives. And honesty speaking, many fans would actually prefer having Abigail back on the screen in the flesh! So maybe that is something to ponder over! We are not saying that there is anything wrong with mentioning Abigail. But the thing is, all talk and no show is only creating hindrances in the flow of the story. Bringing up Abigail again and again is neither letting Chad move on nor is it allowing him to have a life with Abigail. Obviously, because she is there but not there!

So what if the makers just bring her back in the flesh on Days of Our Lives? Previously, two different actresses portrayed the character. Kate Mansi and Marci Miller. Interestingly, both of them were quite well received by the fans. Thus, the makers can tap into the former Abigails and see if any of them would like to make a return.
