Sasha Learns the Whole Ugly Truth About Gladys — and Ava Threatens Austin

At the cabin, Sasha refuses to believe Cody that Gladys would do anything to hurt her. As they argue, a car pulls up. Sasha hides, and it turns out only to be Dante and Sam. Cody is surprised Dante is here, and Sam says he wants to help. Cody calls Sasha out from hiding, and they say it looks like she’s doing better. Sasha says it’s thanks to Cody.

Cody tells Sasha how Sam helped them, and she asks why Sam would help do this for her. Sam says Cody was convinced she didn’t belong in Ferncliff and never gave up on her. Cody wonders if Dante has come to arrest them. Dante says he’s here to apologize to Cody for not believing him, and he’s so very sorry to Sasha for what Gladys did to her. Sasha cries, “Why would she do this? She says she loved her and they were family?”

Sasha says Gladys is the only family she has left, so how she could betray her? Dante says Gladys is a weak person and she put herself in a difficult spot. Cody explains how he really knows Gladys through Selina’s games, and she was using Sasha’s money to pay her debts. Sam says Gladys had to stay in control of her finances to repay her debts, and Sasha realizes that’s why Gladys tried to convince her that ending the guardianship was a mistake.

Sasha cries that Cody tried to tell her about Gladys so many times, but she refused to listen. She asks what they’ll do now that they are escaped fugitives. Sam says the four of them will figure this out.

Cyrus is summoned to the Pentonville Warden’s office. The warden is furious with Cyrus for hanging her out to dry and declares he’s going to pay for it. The warden says he was supposed to provide her with information on Sonny’s deal with Pikeman, and the FBI ended up with nothing and it’s his fault. Cyrus says he’s angry about this too and reminds her she’s warden because of him and the strings he pulled. She points out it’s her name being tarnished. Cyrus says he’ll fix that, and preaches that he is but a servant of the lord, and that with the help of his people… she cuts him off and says if he’s speaking of Mason as his people then he’s a worthless one. Cyrus agrees and feels his usefulness is coming to an end as one of God’s emissaries.

Cyrus promises her they both want Sonny off the streets and locked up. The warden says this could have been a boon to her career, and wonders how the case fell apart. Cyrus suggests she find that out herself, but she won’t put herself on the chopping block for him.

Cyrus says bringing Sonny down is one part of his plan to turn his life around, along with donating all his money to create a reform program. here He also knows her programs working with the prisoners haven’t gone unnoticed by higher-ups either. He warns her that their common acquaintance the judge who appointed her warden, could be made to reverse his decision. She senses a threat and warns him to keep his nose clean. The warden calls a guard to have Cyrus taken back to his cell.

Sonny and Carly meet with Drew in the visiting area and Drew assumes this is about more than about catching up. Sonny explains he could use his help with a situation. Carly tells Drew about Sonny’s arrest, which he heard about. Sonny explains he was trying to smoke out his enemy, and he doesn’t know who it is but suspects it’s someone in Pentonville. Sonny believes Austin and Mason Gatlin are working with his enemy, and Drew assumes he wants him to find out who Austin visited the other day. Carly reminds Drew not to do anything to mess up Diane’s attempt to get his sentence reduced.

Drew wants to help Sonny, so Sonny asks him to let him know who Mason and Drew are reporting to. Carly again makes Drew promise to be careful

Alone, Carly worries about Drew to Sonny. She knows Drew is his best shot and getting what he needs to know, but she still hates this. Sonny says he just needs one name.

Drew meanwhile chats with a guard and offers to hook his son up with an internship at Aurora after he graduates from PCU. The guard asks what he needs in return. Drew explains all he needs is a name, he wants to know who Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt met with recently. Cyrus listens from around the corner.

Dex runs into Nina at the Metro Court but they are interrupted when he receives a call from Joss asking if he’s still going to help her move into the dorm. He explains he’s finishing work for Sonny but will be there. Dex then delivers a message to Nina that Sonny will be unreachable for a while as he’s with Carly visiting Drew. Dex leaves, and Nina reflects on having Martin expose Carly and Drew for insider trading.

Olivia arrives at work and is on a high what with Sonny escaping the charges against him. Nina assumes there is another reason she’s in a good mood. Olivia tells her about the visit with “Eddie” to his music studio with Leo, and how they had a great time. As she sings “Eddie’s” praises, Nina points out she’s not calling him Ned.

Olivia says pushing “Eddie” away and wanting him to be Ned wasn’t working, and she’s realized how talented “Eddie” is. She admits he put her in touch with a part of herself she almost forgot existed. Nina asks Olivia if she’s falling for “Eddie,” and if she doesn’t want Ned back. Olivia says she has work to do and walks off.

Dex arrives to help Joss move into her dorm, and Adam stops by to say hello and that they are neighbors again. Adam asks if she needs help, but Joss says she has help. Dex makes himself known, and Adam appears intimidated. He asks if Dex goes here, but Dex explains he’s just helping Joss move in. Adam invites Joss to be a part of his chemistry study group, seeing they are both pre-med, as it’s a good way not to fall behind. She says she’ll let him know and tells him right now she and Dex have a lot to do, closing the door on him.

Dex tells Joss that Adam had a point about the study group. She doesn’t want to think about Adam and begins to kiss and strip his clothes off. They fall onto the bed and make love.

Ava storms into Austin’s office and declares she is done with Mason’s threats, and if he doesn’t return Nikolas’s body then she will tell Sonny everything he and his cousin have done. Austin asks her not to go to Sonny and asks what happened. Ava says Mason threatened her for Betty failing, and she’s done everything asked of her and doesn’t know when this will end. Austin assures her that Mason will come through one way or another. Ava wants to know what is going on, and if he is double-crossing her. He swears he’s not, and she says that is good because he knows what she’s capable of. Austin is truly sorry that she’s in this situation, and if he could do things over again would make sure she never got mixed up with Mason. She thanks him and wishes she had handled things differently with Nikolas.

Austin asks if she thinks Nikolas would have really hurt Avery. Ava doesn’t know, but after how she lost Kiki, she couldn’t take the chance. She says Avery is all she has left and she’ll protect her with everything she has.

Austin promises to lean on Mason and do everything he can but asks her to be patient and not go to Sonny as it will only make things worse. Ava says she will go to Sonny if she doesn’t get what she was promised. Ava walks out of his office.

Spencer finds Trina working at the gallery, but she doesn’t notice him as she has headphones in. He yells at her, and she falls off the step stool she’s on, but he catches her. She’s embarrassed, but calls it romantic, and that he’s always there for her when it’s important. He knows she’s saved him a few times as well.

Spencer asks what she’s up to, and Trina explains she got a notice about an artist’s upcoming show, and a detail Ava dropped the ball on, which is highly unusual for her. She senses Ava’s been distracted lately. He questions why she gave up working at The Chuck, which could be a stepping stone to something more, something bigger. Trina explains the popularity of art isn’t important to her, it’s about being a part of a process and personal growth. She also explains she has a lot going on, what with school, Curtis and Taggert. She also knows they haven’t gotten much alone time together. Spencer says that’s why he’s here, as he thinks he has a solution.

Spencer says he wants to take her to New York City, see a show, and then go to Turks and Caicos. She tells him she can’t go. Trina says she needs to be here to help her mom and Curtis, who are still walking on eggshells around one another. She also says school is right around the corner. Spencer doesn’t understand her hesitation, and letting school rule her life. She says he comes from money and wouldn’t understand, and she values her education. Trina says however she’d still like to go to New York, just not the islands during hurricane season.

Spencer is excited and can’t wait to show her his favorite pizza place near Central Park. He’s ready for them to have uninterrupted time together, and they kiss. He says he’ll go make some calls and will talk to her later. He leaves, and she looks at her turtle dove.

On the next General Hospital: Tracy is pleased to meet someone at the Metro Court. Lucy senses she knows why Martin wants to get out of the restaurant so quickly. Joss asks Trina if she’s ready for this. Spencer asks Alexis for a favor. Carly tells Ava that by helping Sonny she’s helping her. Nikolas tells Austin it’s time for them to say goodbye.
