GH News: Tragic Details About Tyler Christopher And Eva Longoria

By now, everyone knows the unfortunate news that General Hospital and Days of Our Lives alum Tyler Christopher has passed away. He was only 50. The actor reportedly died of cardiac arrest and was found dead in his San Diego apartment by his friend. And now there’s a new report that says Tyler’s first wife Eva Longoria tried to help him only a week before his death.

GH News: Tragic Details About Tyler Christopher And Eva Longoria

Tyler Christopher and Eva Longoria were married for two years in the early 2000’s. Their marriage ended as quickly as it began as Eva even went on the record to call herself a “terrible wife.” Recalling their marriage, Eva said in an interview back in 2008, “He was a lovely man, but I was very young. I didn’t know who I was, and I was still struggling as an actor. I was a terrible wife.” That was the one and only time she ever spoke out about him.

And while the ex-couple didn’t really keep in contact after their divorce, Eva supposedly did think about Tyler a lot and especially when he was making headlines for all of the wrong reasons. He was arrested twice for public intoxication – back in 2019 and again in May 2023.

Eva Longoria Wanted To Help Before It Was Too Late

One source close to the situation even told Radar Online that Eva Longoria “could hardly recognize” Christopher, she also reportedly offered to help her ex amid his drinking troubles – including offering to pay for him to go to rehab. She would give Tyler any help he needs. “Including paying for a trip to rehab.”

So far Eva herself has not made any comments about Tyler’s death. However, his other ex and good friend, former General Hospital star Vanessa Marcil did share several throwback photos of the two of them together and wrote in one of her Instagram Stories, “Ugh, another loss! Waaaay too young. Rest in peace bubs.”
