Lucy Calls Martin Out on His Secrets and Lies — Plus, Anna Asks Robert for a Favor Regarding Valentin

Liz finds Finn sitting in her spot on the hospital roof. She notes he’s been up here a lot lately. Finn found out something that he can’t process and doesn’t know if he’ll ever be able to. He saw her talking to his dad and guesses he told her. Liz confirms he did. Finn says his father is dying, which is the first time he’s said that out loud. He also knows ALS is a brutal way to die, and he can’t believe this is happening to his father.

Liz urges Finn to take advantage of what time he and his dad have right now. He says she’s right, and he wishes he hadn’t wasted so many years and turned his back on his father and family. He swears he’ll be there for him every step of the way.

Liz encourages him to be honest and to tell Gregory that he feels guilty for shutting him out all those years. He’s glad that his dad confided in her. She says he admitted he hasn’t told Chase yet. Finn says this will be hard, and he can’t imagine doing this without her. She swears she’s here every step of the way for him and his dad, and they embrace.

Marshall arrives to see Portia in her office as she called him. Portia says the rehab director called her and Curtis is being released tomorrow, but he hasn’t reached out to any of them. She doesn’t know what that means. She wonders if he’s made other plans, like an assisted living facility.

Marshall doesn’t think Curtis would do that, but she needs to let Curtis figure this out for himself. He’s sure he’ll let Portia in with time. Marshall knows Curtis loves her, but he doesn’t know what their relationship is going to be like going forward, emotionally or physically. Marshall believes Curtis is avoiding her not because he doesn’t love her, but because he does.

Stella finds Curtis working out alone in the rehab center. She thinks he should have his physical therapist with him, but Curtis feels he’s ready to be on his own and get out of there. Stella says, “Oh no you’re not!” She says he needs to talk to his therapist to make sure he’s prepared for this new reality he’s going to face. Curtis doesn’t want empty words, and the therapist doesn’t know who he is. Stella says she does, so talk to her.

Curtis explains he can’t just sit here and feel sorry for himself. Stella says he has a right to feel sorry for himself, he has a right to be mad, and he needs to let those feelings out. She says if he doesn’t, they will eat at him. She knows this will take everything he has. Curtis can’t believe this one accident took everything from him just as things were falling into place for him and Portia, as well as Trina. Stella says he hasn’t lost his family, and maybe this experience can show him how strong he is. Curtis doesn’t feel strong, and so much of his identity is tied to how physical he is, or was. Stella quotes FDR, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself,” and points out he ran this country from a wheelchair. Stella says he has a superpower inside of him, just like those Falcon comics he used to read as a kid, and they are here with him until he finds it.

Stella asks him to think about what his life at home is going to look like. Will he continue to shut Portia out and push her away? Curtis admits he said horrible things to Portia to drive her away. Stella says he didn’t work, and Portia loves him unconditionally. Stella says this might be a long road, but let those who love him in. She assures him they aren’t looking at him with pity, especially Portia. If he can admit that then he may be ready to go home. Curtis knows he has been shutting down emotionally, but he has to put his life back together. Stella asks if he’s ready to take on the challenge of his new reality.

Kristina arrives to see her mom at The Invader office and says Diane agreed to be on the board of her center and thanks her for her words of encouragement. However, she came to give her an explanation as to why she ignored her earlier at the pool. She had come to talk to her, but when she saw Molly and the woman, who she assumed was the surrogate, she decided it was best to steer clear. Alexis says that was a wise decision. Kristina doesn’t want what’s going on between her and Molly to affect them as they are in a good place. Alexis agrees.

Kristina asks how the surrogate was. Alexis didn’t get to know her well in just an hour, but she liked her, and she seemed like a good fit. Kristina hopes things will get back on track for her and Molly once the baby is here, but Alexis says she still needs to give her sister time.

Gregory arrives and apologizes for interrupting, but Kristina says she was just leaving. Kristina departs, Alexis assumes he’s here to work, and he admits he may not have many working days left. Gregory sits down and says he told Finn about his diagnosis. Alexis explains she ran into Finn and they talked about her knowing already. She promises she and Finn’s relationship is fine and they both are just worried about him.

Gregory hates the position he put her in and hopes she can forgive him. She assures him there is nothing to forgive. She asks how Chase took the news, but Gregory admits he hasn’t told him. He’s taking a few more days before telling Chase, as this will be hard for him. She knows he’ll tell Chase when he’s ready. Gregory worries he may never be ready, and Chase has been so happy lately. Alexis thinks he’s not giving his son credit.

At the Metro Court pool, Anna sits down with Robert and needs a favor, no questions asked. She needs to know if Valentin is still on Pikeman’s payroll and asks him to use any contacts he has left to get her the information. Robert knows Valentin lied about going to ELQ the other night and asks if she thinks Valentin could have burned down her house.

Anna says she told him no questions. She explains Valentin is complicated, she doesn’t know why he lied about being at ELQ the night of the fire, and she’s worried his connection to Pikeman goes deeper than he’s telling her. She thinks he could still be in bed with Pikeman. She needs his help finding the truth because she doesn’t know what the truth is anymore.

Valentin arrives and comments he didn’t know they’d have company. Robert snaps they don’t, and leaves. Valentin asks what’s bugging Robert. Anna says he’s worried about Robin. She asks what he’s up to, and he says he had a dinner date with Charlotte. He says they were coming here, but she decided on pizza instead. Anna asks him to order her a glass of wine and excuses herself to use the ladies’ room.

Meanwhile, Lucy storms in and Martin is happy to see his buttercup until she throws a drink in his face. Martin asks what the hell is that about? She states she knows about his alimony he’s been keeping a secret. He tries to act like he has no idea what he’s talking about. She knows he’s lying and orders him to spill it. Martin admits it is true and asks why she cares. Lucy cries now she knows he doesn’t want to marry her because he’d have to give up the money. He reminds her she also said she was through with marriage like he was. She calls him an idiot and she was just using reverse psychology on him. Martin assures Lucy that he loves her, but she thinks the money from his ex is more important. Martin asks how she found out he was getting the alimony.

Lucy admits she went to Pine Valley, met Jackson Montgomery, and managed to look at his legal files. He can’t believe she was willing to get arrested for this. He swears nothing is more important to him than her and he loves her. Lucy tells him to tell his third ex-wife he doesn’t want the money if that’s the case. He asks if that is really what she wants. She admits she doesn’t know, especially since she’s about to be bankrupt. She fills him in on Deception’s problems, and he says intellectual property theft is difficult to prove.

Martin sees Valentin walk by and tells Lucy he needs to excuse himself for just a quick minute. He runs off to see Valentin around the corner. Martin says he’s heard back, and it’s not good news. Valentin says he needs this done now because he can’t take the next step until it’s done.

Valentin and Martin return to their respective tables, and Anna notes things seem tense between him and Martin. Valentin assures her it’s nothing interesting.

Meanwhile, Martin asks Lucy if she wants something to eat. She has no appetite, the hearing is tomorrow and her entire future is on the line. This could be the end of Deception, and the end of her.

Elsewhere in Port Charles, Trina finds Joss helping her mom out at Kelly’s. They sit down outside, and Trina wishes she could find a way to help her mom. She says Curtis is still in rehab and keeps pushing her mom away. She feels there must be a way to bring them back together. Joss tells her this isn’t on her, these are her parents’ problems to solve.

Inside, Diane sits at the counter and talks with Carly. Carly never thought she could love this place as much as The Metro Court, but it makes her feel connected to her mom and Aunt Ruby. Diane is glad to see she’s happy. Carly says she’d be happier if Drew wasn’t in prison, and asks Diane to help get him out. Diane explains it’s not that simple, that there was no trial, so she has no legal leg to stand on because he took that deal and pleaded guilty.

Carly says the sentence was not what Drew agreed to, and the judge seemed to have a vendetta against Drew. Diane thinks she could argue bias and research the judge’s past cases. Carly asks if she’ll take the case then. Diane asks who is hiring her, Carly or Drew? Carly says Drew knows about this idea. Diane warns her appeals can take years, and the best course of action may be to let Drew finish his sentence. Carly thinks there must be some way and suggests maybe Robert can help.

Suddenly, Robert enters. He had no idea Diane frequented this establishment. She says there is a lot he doesn’t know about her. He says he wanted her to know he that bought a new set of wheels. He asks if she’d like to go for a ride. She says she’ll have to check her schedule, but can squeeze him in. He asks if she has to check with what’s his name, Chris? Diane says Chris is a she, and no she doesn’t. Diane goes to head out, and Carly shouts  “Don’t forget that other thing!” Diane replies she’s on it!

Trina goes to visit her mom at the hospital. Portia says she and Marshall just had a  heavy discussion about Curtis, and Curtis is being released tomorrow. Trina is certain once they are under the same roof that things will get better. Portia admits she doesn’t know if he’s coming home. Suddenly, Portia gets a call from Curtis. He says he’s better than he’s been in weeks. He tells her that he’s coming home, and that they can make this work together.

On the next General Hospital:Gladys turns to Nina for help. Dr. Montague drugs Sasha again. Marshall warns Curtis there is trouble at the club. Cyrus informs Drew that he too is under Sonny’s protection. Sonny warns Brick to stay out of Port Charles. Carly let’s Michael know she’s come up a with a way to get Drew out.
