Good News, Bad News for Days of Our Lives: Nicole’s Happy Ending Could Mean the End of… Dang, We Don’t Even Wanna Say It!

While the viewers may be eager for Nicole to get her baby back on Days of Our Lives, we can think of a few people who aren’t looking forward to that possibility! Melinda’s one of them. Good luck practicing law when your license has been pulled for kidnapping a baby and forging an adoption! And EJ may not know it yet, but he’s probably better off thinking that his and Nicole’s baby is dead, seeing as how getting little Jude back is bound to lead to the revelation that he’s not EJ’s after all!

She could survive the fallout of not just the kidnapping, but also the paternity swap — Nicole certainly seemed to do alright not just avoiding prison time, but also reconnecting with EJ when she pulled this same baby swap years back — but that’s far from a guarantee. In fact, after the Monday, December 11 episode, the show may have just shown us in big bold letters just how badly this could turn out for Sloan!

When Melinda showed up at Sloan’s, the panicked new mom seemed to be verging on a breakdown after all the fires she’s had to put out to keep the baby swiping secret under wraps. There’s Dimitri, Leo, Nicole’s certainty and Holly’s surprise DNA test idea. And then Sloan dropped the tidbit that before that test ended up accidentally confirming her lie when they tested EJ’s DNA instead of Nicole’s, she was ready to book a one way ticket out of Salem… or do something far worse to herself!

With a bruise on his jaw, leo flashes a wry smirk at Sloan, who appears nervous.

While we doubt Sloan would hurt herself — that second option sounded fairly hyperbolic — it does seem like she’s ready to cut out of town at a moment’s notice if things go too wrong. Now, that wouldn’t necessarily get her out of her legal trouble unless she fled somewhere like Alamania where, as Vivian has taught us, there’s no extradition treaty with the U.S. But it would mean the end of Sloan as we know her on Days of Our Lives. Because if she doesn’t flee, there’s a darn good chance she could end up in prison!

Nicole got slapped with 20 years when she swiped Sami’s baby. And it seems highly unlikely that Sloan would also have someone in her back pocket to blackmail into getting a pardon like Nicole did. No matter how you slice it, at this point, it may take a miracle for Sloan to come out of this and stick around in Salem.

And while miracles have been known to happen on Days of Our Lives, as most of Salem could tell Sloan, there’s a far greater chance for everything that can go wrong, to go wrong!

What do you think? Is Sloan out of here once her lies are exposed?
