General Hospital’s Maura West Detonates the Explosive Twist That’d Leave Carly Fuming

To put it mildly, Ava and Carly have never had the smoothest of relationships on General Hospital. And that was even before the former mob boss befriended Carly’s arch nemesis Nina — you know, the woman who once ripped Ava’s baby from her womb.

But now, if Maura West has her way, Carly may be the one finding out what it’s like to have her child ripped away from her… by Ava!

It all started with a seemingly sweet, innocuous tweet from Eden McCoy (Josslyn) with West’s arms wrapped around her in a hug. “Adventure time,” McCoy exclaimed. “I love you, Maura West.”

That’s all well and good, but then came the twist in West’s reply!

“Love it, Precious Girl,” she responded, adding with a laugh. “Hey: Let’s pitch it that Joss starts calling her ‘Mama Ava.’ Love you, Eden.”

OK, sure, that might be the most wholesome shocking twist we’ve ever seen… but that doesn’t mean it would go down smoothly! Because while the fans enjoyed the real-life friendship, there were no illusions about how Carly would react to Ava becoming a mother (or even a mother figure) to Josslyn!

Ashifa S got a huge kick out of the thought, tweeting, “Can you imagine Carly’s reaction?!” Yes, yes we could. Because, as Marla Davis put it a bit further down, “Carly’s head would explode!”

In fact, we’re starting to get the feeling that fans love messy drama because there were quite a few folks egging West on!

“Not gonna lie,” DDlin admitted, “I’d like to see that… Maybe in one of Carly’s nightmares.”

Ava may have escaped death at Mason’s hands this week, but if the show ever went in the direction West pitched, she better watch her back. Because Carly would sooner put a knife in it than give up her daughter to Ava!
