Lani May Be Gone for Good — Here, Sal Stowers Reveals Why
This past summer, “Elani” fans were given a real treat on Days of Our Lives as both Eli and Lani made their returns to Salem to say goodbye to (and eventually rescue!) Abe. Lamon Archey had been back before since Eli’s exit, but it was the first we’d gotten to see Sal Stowers back on our screens since Lani was sent off to prison the year before.
Now, though, it may also be the last time we get to see her! Stowers took to Instagram to share a life and career update on her stories that, while we’re incredibly happy that she’s pursuing her dreams, has us wondering about any possible future for Lani.
“I know it’s been a minute,” Stowers began the video. “I take my breaks, I come back, but here I am.” Honestly, while the actress was referring to her absence on social media, that sounds a whole lot like Lani! “talk about what I’m experiencing right now.”
She’s currently enrolled in school to get her “certification as a life coach” and wanted to share that she’s “feeling very thankful for this opportunity, this journey. I’ve learned so much about myself. So much about life coaching and what it is and how I can use these tools and this wisdom to help transform someone else’s life. It’s just been a really incredible experience. I never thought that back in July, this is where I would be right now.”
And while July was the last time we saw Lani on our screens trying to rescue Abe from Nurse Whitley’s clutches, because of Days of Our Lives‘ shooting schedule, those scenes were filmed back around the beginning of the year. Since then, it sounds like she’s been focusing on coaching school.
“Many of you that have been following me a really long time know that I’m incredibly passionate about being able to shed light on someone else’s life and help the community,” she explained. She’s worked with a life coach herself and, “The fact that I’m now here and I’m working with clients and I’m helping someone become their best self, there is truly no greater feeling. It is so rewarding.”
Stowers isn’t quite done the program yet, as she won’t take her final exam until next week, but after that’s wrapped, she’s going to begin taking on clients. And even then, she shared, she’s not done. “I will be continuing my education. I think that’s what life is about. It’s a life learning journey. Learning keeps you youthful.”
Between Stowers’ excitement over this new direction, her continuing education and the fact that she’ll soon be taking clients on to coach, it doesn’t sound like there’d be much time to bring Lani back to our screens any time soon. Never say never, of course, but for now, we might have to face the fact that even when Lani’s eventually released from prison, neither she, nor Stowers may return to Salem.
