Days of Our Lives Is About to ‘Disappear’ Clyde, But It May Already Be Too Little, Too Late: ‘Daddy Stefano Would Hang His Head In Shame’

There’s absolutely no doubt about it. Clyde’s finally gone too far on Days of Our Lives. His Salem PD mole is made, Harris has coerced both Ava and Stefan away from him, Stefan’s finally managed to convince EJ to help and Ava’s pulled in John and Steve to get Tripp back. And while those last three are supposedly going to break Clyde out of prison so he’ll let Tripp go, Steve’s musing that they should just “disappear” him sounds a whole lot more ominous!

And if anything happens to Tripp and Wendy before that, we have a feeling they won’t even bother with the vanishing act. They’ll just put Clyde straight into the ground. The point is, Salem’s most powerful are finally making things happen — but how in the world did it take so long to get to this point?!

Stefan’s played his hand so poorly that EJ’s help is costing him literally everything he has. No more DiMera, no more shares, no more money, no more assets. He will be, as he told EJ, “destitute.” But alive, as his ruthless brother helpfully pointed out! Back when Clyde roped him in, he was reluctant to kill the man. Assassins were more EJ’s thing, not his. So instead of finding a way to kill someone who’s clearly evil, he tried killing a cop twice?

Then there’s Ava. She’s desperately trying to save her son, but Officer Goldman seems intent on leaving him to die now that he and Wendy know who she is. It may not be in time. But why was he even kidnapped? She refused to get the Vitali crime family involved before this, but now it’s time for them to help break Clyde out of prison. She could have had them kill him in prison… But no!

And now here we are. Clyde may be going soon, but fans have been fed up with him for some time.

As Lucy Icsoaptweets noted over on Twitter/X, “In today’s plot nonsense: Ava’s family are going to help John and Steve but Ava couldn’t have asked them to deal with Clyde before this.”

And Stefan is not coming out of this looking good either. Maybe EJ can keep him both alive and out of jail, but it’s costing pretty much everything but Stefan’s name. And how much charity will EJ be willing to throw his way when it comes to even staying in the family home? He’s got no problem taking everything else from his brother. But hey, maybe Jake’s old apartment is still empty. We’re sure Stefan would feel right at home there.

As DJ tweeted, “What kind of DiMera is Stefan that he can’t just call someone to deal with Clyde once and for all? Daddy Stefano would hang his head in shame.”

He would, but as EJ pointed out, at least he’d be proud of Elvis Junior!

In fact, a lot of folks have been pulling their hair out at this Clyde mess.

“I’m still trying to figure out how Ava/Stefan both come from crime families and they’re afraid of Clyde,” Barbara admitted on Twitter, prompting karengurie8 to jump in, adding, “This storyline has made zero sense from the jump. Anyone who’s watched Days would know that a Vitale and a DiMera would have crushed Clyde like a bug!”

Instead, he’s backed them both into a no-win situation, both doing what they said they’d never do to prevent this in the first place!

Look, this has gone on long enough. Somebody needs to take Clyde out, and if it’s going to be anyone, we’ll take John and Steve! We aren’t quite sure what their plan is, but let’s hope they disappear him for good! If not, either Stefan or Ava need to do the deed and take him out. Maybe that would redeem them a bit for letting things get to this point.

It may be too late to save Stefan, Ava, Wendy, Tripp or even Harris (he’s got to be leaving because of this story in some way, right?), but at least they can save Salem and Days of Our Lives!
