Counting Down to Baby, Young & Restless’ Camryn Grimes Shares What’s Keeping Her Up Nights

Pregnancy, we have a feeling a lot of mom’s will agree, is for the birds! Actually, strike that. Birds lay eggs, so that doesn’t quite work. But you get the point. It’s uncomfortable, it’s stressful and it’s filled with worries about baby’s wellbeing and future. And, as soon-to-be first time mom, The Young and the Restless‘ Camryn Grimes (Mariah), is discovering it also seriously cuts into sleep!

In fact, it seems like it’s gotten so tough, she did what we all do sooner or later when faced with a problem and turned to the internet for help! Grimes, though, wasn’t content with just Googling and asked for a bit more of a human touch.

Falling asleep, she tweeted on X, “is becoming increasingly difficult and incredibly frustrating. I’m too hot, I’m too cold, nothing is comfortable, restless leg… Ladies, help me out here: Suggestions??”

Luckily for Grimes, there were plenty of women ready and willing to jump in with advice. Though they may not have been quite the easy fixes she’d been hoping for!

Grimes is just past the halfway point with little Baby Foster, as she announced, due to arrive in December. But that’s still four months left of restless nights. Luckily, a ton of moms weighed in suggesting she invest in a good body pillow to help get more comfortable at night. That, in fact, seemed to be the most popular pregnancy hack.

Others included soothing baths, rain noises, friends who are good with messages. Sometimes the best thing you can do is find ways to relax enough to get over the discomfort. But at the end of the day, it may just be something Grimes has to get through to get to the incredible feeling of holding her baby in her arms.

Fortunately, plenty of folks had some advice we’ve all wanted to take at some point: Naps!

As LIZ Palmer tweeted, pregnancy “is a full time job. Sleep whenever possible. Loved my naps.”

At the end of the day, though, it sounds like there was one suggestion that may have worked as folks suggested that baby may be depleting Grimes’ body’s own source of magnesium. Because a day later she tweeted two words: Magnesium spray! And judging by David Rose’s reaction, we think we may have a winner.

Hopefully now Grimes can get back to that sweet, sweet embrace of sleep. Or at the very least its light hug every now and then!
