Cody and Sasha’s Escape From Ferncliff Hits a Snag — and [Spoiler] Spies on a Tense Moment Between Nina and Gladys

Mac is drinking coffee at Kelly’s. Carly says hello and hands him a menu, and he says Felicia is joining him. He congratulates her on taking over Kelly’s. They chat about Sonny’s arrest when Felicia arrives.

Felicia carries a huge number of files with her, all the things she needs to study and fill out before she can start volunteering at the hospital. Felicia can since Mac’s upset, and he reveals Cody’s been admitted to Ferncliff. Felicia notes that’s where Sasha is. Mac comments this is just like Leopold and Dominique, and he’s worried about what Cody’s willing to do to get to Sasha. Concerned, Mac states he’s going to see him, but Felicia refuses to allow it.

Felicia believes if Cody is right about Sasha being in danger then he can’t go because he may ruin Cody’s plan. She says Cody is hot-headed, but he’s smart and capable and they must trust he knows what he’s doing. She asks what’s the worst thing that can happen if he’s exposed.

Outside of Kelly’s, Nina tries to call Ferncliff for information on Sasha’s release, but they won’t talk to her. Carly comes out, and Nina stops her to talk about Sonny’s being thrown in jail, and how they could all be targets. Carly comments, “It’s possible.” She asks Carly what she’s going to do about it. Carly replies, “What are you going to do about it?” Nina says without Jason, there is going to be a power vacuum in Port Charles. She knows Carly stepped in to keep the peace when Sonny was gone before. Carly snaps, “You mean when you knew Sonny was alive and lied to them all?”

Carly heads inside, and Nina follows. Nina cries that she is new to this, and for the family’s sake, she’s asking Carly to help her. Carly says Brick has been in touch and everything is stable right now, and she doesn’t think anyone will make a play for Sonny’s territory. Carly agrees they have to work together, and Nina needs to stay calm because it sends a bad message when one of the members of Sonny’s circle is manic. Carly notes she’s more focused on finding out who turned in evidence and broke rank with Sonny. She says Sonny values loyalty above all, so when Sonny finds out who did this, he’ll make them pay.

At the Metro Court pool, Spencer is late joining Trina and Joss. He says it took a while to get Ace down, but fortunately, Esme thought to put him in a lavender bath. He then brings up Uncle Sonny’s situation and makes a snide comment about Dex. Joss snaps she doesn’t want to talk about Sonny or Esme and storms off. Spencer follows and says he’s worried about Sonny, but he promises not to bring up Esme anymore. He decides to go for a swim and dives in the pool.

Trina apologizes to Joss for Spencer, as she knows he’s a jerk, but he’s her jerk. Joss doesn’t understand how his spending time with Esme doesn’t bother her. Trina admits it does. She notes they barely get alone time, and she isn’t complaining given what Curtis and her mom are going through, along with how Taggert is hurting. Joss knows she has a lot on her plate. Trina says it won’t be like this forever, and she knows Spencer is hers and not Esme’s.

Trina soon joins Spencer in the pool and they kiss. Joss meanwhile calls Dex and wonders why his phone is off. She leaves him a message that she loves him and misses him.  Later, Spencer and Trina get out of the pool, and Spencer apologizes to Joss for what he said about Dex. He knows they’re both worried about Sonny. Joss thanks him, and Trina and Spencer head out. Later, Joss gets a message from Dex saying he misses and loves her too.

At The Invader office, Gregory turns some work into Alexis. He tells her that he’s planning to tell Chase about his illness tonight. She asks, “With Finn?” He’s decided to do it alone. Gregory talks about Chase and Finn, and how different they are. Alexis understands and the same is true with Kristina and Molly.

Kristina appears and asks, “Talking about me?” Gregory decides to leave them, and Kristina invites her mom out for a bite to eat to discuss her dad and the trouble he’s in. Suddenly Molly shows up but says she’ll come back. Alexis refuses to put up with this, drags Molly in, and says they need to kiss and make up, as they both have bigger problems to deal with.  Moly refuses and says Kristina knows why she’s angry and she’s playing the victim. Kristina says she knows something about being a victim, and this feels so much worse because Molly’s involved. Molly cries she can’t take this and storms out.

Alexis tells Kristina she’d give anything to have her sister back, and it breaks her heart seeing her and Molly at odds. She won’t micromanage this but advises her to think about what’s at stake.

Molly returns home, looks at her stuffed pony, and cries as she thinks back to Kristina’s words about being a victim.

Brook Lynn arrives at Chase’s place with a small bag. He’s shirtless and sweaty, just having finished a workout. He asks where the rest of her stuff is. She explains this is all she brought. He thought she was moving in, not just spending the night.

Brook Lynn claims this is all she needs. He’s never seen her pack so light and feels like she’s trying to restrict herself. Brook Lynn says she is adaptable and can use this experience to try and see herself in a new light. She doesn’t need to bring everything she owns, as she’ll still be spending time at the mansion.

Gregory arrives later, and Chase is happy to see him. Gregory thanks him for making time for his old man. Chase laughs and says he’s not old, and he can’t wait for him to take a camping trip with his kids one day like they used to do. Just as Gregory is about to explain why he’s here, Brook Lynn interrupts them, exiting the bedroom and talking about bedsheets. She is glad to see Gregory, and Chase reveals Brook Lynn is moving in. Gregory offers to buy them dinner, and so Chase orders out. Gregory asks what made Brook Lynn take the plunge. She admits she’s having trouble with her grandmother. Gregory is not surprised. Later they pour some wine, the pizza arrives, and they all enjoy a meal together. Gregory appears content that Chase has Brook Lynn.

In an alley, Gladys tells someone that meeting out here in the open is dangerous. Dr. Montague appears and notes meeting in public is no problem as he’s Sasha’s doctor. Gladys says she’s wired the money to his offshore account, and he says he got the notice. She states then they can go get Sasha out, but he says, “Not so fast.”

Montague explains Sasha needs to be weaned off the medications, and if she recovers too quickly people will ask questions. He says it will take 24 hours to clear her system, and she’ll be released in a week at the earliest. Gladys refuses to wait, but he says she needs to pay by his rules as too much is at stake. He says Sasha will detox, the tabloids will get a story, and she’ll retain her cash cow.

They are interrupted when Nina calls Gladys to find out when they can get Sasha out. Gladys says it will be soon. Nina notes she’s at Kelly’s and demands she come meet her. Gladys says she’ll be there. Gladys then warns Montague that was his benefactor on the phone and he better hope she doesn’t blow a fuse.

After Gladys leaves, Dr. Montague gets a call and says they have excellent timing. He asks for something so good it will make a person forget they ever knew someone, and he needs it as soon as possible.

At Dante’s, he asks Sam where Cody is. She admits he’s in Ferncliff, and she helped him get committed. Dante doesn’t understand why she’d do this, and it could make things worse for Sasha. Sam says Cody believes Sasha is in danger, but Dante reminds her it was Sasha who stabbed Cody. He thinks Cody isn’t facing the truth that Sasha had a serious mental breakdown. Sam thought so too, but says Cody made her realize if there was a chance they were wrong about her, and it was her in Sasha’s situation, wouldn’t she want someone to come for her?

Dante knows her and that when she makes a decision that she thinks is right, there is no stopping her. However, he feels she’s keeping things from him. Sam says his father is in custody and he needs to be focusing on that. She also didn’t want to compromise his integrity as a cop. She’s no lawyer like her mom and sister but guesses what she and Cody did was highly illegal, and she couldn’t get him involved. Dante tells Sam that he trusts her judgment, a hell of a lot more than Cody’s, but he doesn’t want to be kept in the dark. She says, “Noted.” He says if she thinks this is the right thing, then he’ll back her.

In Ferncliff, Cody tries to wake Sasha, but she’s out cold. He shakes her, but she doesn’t respond. He then sponges some water on her head and she finally comes too. She sees Cody and freaks and cries, “Please don’t hurt me!”

Cody puts his hands up and says, “It’s me, Cody!” He backs away and says he’s here to help her. Sasha rambles on about Cyrus coming after her, and she doesn’t know what’s real. She asks if he’s real. Cody says he’s real and extends his hand and asks her to take it. Cody says she’s being drugged, and Sasha cries, “That’s what they say, but she’s not using again.” She says the doctor made her… Cody says the doctor isn’t here, he is, and he’s on her side. He again asks her to take his hand. She does.

Outside of Kelly’s, Nina calls Ferncliff and demands to know who Sasha’s doctor is or she’s calling the police. Gladys arrives, grabs her phone, and says she’ll do no such thing! Nina demands to know what the hold-up on Sasha’s release is. Gladys says the doctor says she’ll be home tomorrow. Nina demands Sasha be released now. As they argue, Carly watches them from inside.

Back at Ferncliff, Sasha takes Cody’s hand and realizes he’s real, Meanwhile, Dr. Montague arrives. In her cell, Cody tells Sasha they need to go now. She asks where to? He says they need to leave. She notes they can’t just walk out. He has a plan and asks her to trust him. As he helps her up, Dr. Montague enters and catches them.

On the next General Hospital: “Eddie” asks Leo if he’s ready to make music. They appear to be at a recording studio, and “Eddie” has his guitar with him and Olivia is there. At Ferncliff, Dr. Montague demands to know what’s going on. Cody says he can see exactly what’s going on here. Dex tells Joss, “How could I have been so careless when it came to Sonny’s freedom.” Outside of Portia and Curtis’, Portia asks Anna why she felt it was a good idea to come. Inside, Curtis tells Marshall that they need to stop this. Ava tells someone they need to face reality.
