Bold & Beautiful May Have Just Set [Spoiler] Down the Road to Be ‘Fraud Man Out’
Well would you look at that, the Forrester family business just got itself a new convert! Well, maybe we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves, but what we do know is that The Bold and the Beautiful‘s R.J. is helping granddad Eric out with some designs while he wrestles with arthritis. And Eric is doing what any parent or grandparent would do and is heaping praises on R.J.’s artistry skills.
Yes, it’s nice to encourage your loved ones as they embrace their talents, but we have a feeling Eric’s also doing it to keep trying to convince R.J. to get into the family business and start designing his own stuff. That’s all well and good, but it could end up backfiring big time — especially if R.J. agrees!
You see, Ridge’s namesake may have drawing skills, but he’s not exactly the design genius that his dad and granddad are.
Well, there’s always AI. All he has to do is type in a few prompts for designs, let the AI spit them out and claim them as his own. He may not be great at coming up with things on his own, but he’s been around the fashion industry long enough that he could probably pick out the garbage looks from the good ones. And what’s even better, is that thanks to his own drawing ability, he can take those computer designs, re-draw them himself and pass them off as his own. And suddenly, boom! R.J. is the boy genius of Forrester Creations!
Except that would be playing a dangerous game. Because the thing about AI is that it doesn’t come up with original ideas. It learns by copying ideas from real people and spitting them back out. Sooner or later, someone would be bound to spot an R.J. Forrester Exclusive that looks an awful lot like one of their own designs.
If R.J. wanted to use AI to boost his own credentials in the family company, he very well could. But once it’s discovered, that could do some serious damage not just to R.J. but also the entirety of Forrester Creations’ rep. And it could leave the entire company with a heap of legal troubles!
The amount of damage, though, depends on who gets their hands on the truth first. If someone in the family spotted it before the world at large, maybe they could do some damage control. But that all depends on when and who discovers it.
Would Ridge protect his son and try to cover up or decide the damage to the company was too great and offer him up as sacrifice? Would Thomas sell R.J. out to ensure his own role as the eventual Forrester heir was still intact? Then again, R.J. may not be the one in trouble here if the news about Eric leaning on him comes out.
There’s blood in the water and the vultures are circling. Eric may refuse to step aside, but his decision to pull R.J. in to help out could end up disastrous for the entire family.
