B&B’s Don Diamont Shares a Look at His Incredible Italian Vacation!

When THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL went on location to Rome, Bill was not part of that particular storyline. But portrayer Don Diamont still enjoyed a fabulous summer vacation touring Italy with his lovely wife, Cindy Ambuehl — and this trip was all play, no work!

The couple’s adventure kicked off on July 10, and lasted for nearly three weeks, including stops in Rome, Palermo, Sicily, Siracusa, Taormina, Capri, and Sorrento! In addition to some photos, Diamont shared some video clips as well, like the montage from Sicily below where he and Ambuehl enjoyed the seaside air, a drive around town, a cooking class, and of course, an amazing meal!

Diamont also shared a clip of himself playfully singing along with an accordion player playing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” in Siracusa. joking: “We’re taking our act on the road! Run! Don’t walk to Ticketmaster!”

Another video montage shows Mr. and Mrs. enjoying the sights and sounds of Capri, including gelato, singing, beaches, nightlife, and more.

During their first stop in Rome, Diamont snapped a selfie with his wife with the La Barcaccia Fountain in the background.
“#Workoutwednesday in Rome,” Diamont joked. “Hard cardio in the gym. Then a long walk with Cindy Why Diamont??? You’re on vacation! Yeah…..I’m on vacation….. in Italy!!! Non-stop eating, people!“

During their first couple of days in Palermo, Diamont and Ambuehl also sampled some of the more unusual delicacies on offer. “An afternoon of intestines, snails, and a spleen and lung sandwich!”

Of course, the couple also enjoyed more traditional fare like this delicious lunch at LeBarrique Monreale.

On their final night in Taormina, Diamont made sure to get a shot of Ambuehl in “her beautiful Carolina Herrera dress!”

In addition to the delicious food and drink at Anciovi, the couple also had quite a view. “So special watching the ever-present smoke billowing from Mount Etna as we dined,” he said.

A highlight of the couple’s week in Sicily was a visit to The Mothers of Motta Camastra. “These wonderful women from this village of about 450 people taught us how to make pasta from scratch and cooked us an incredible dinner,” Diamont enthused. “What beautiful souls!”
