Days of Our Lives’ Justin Was Right: A Decades-Old Prediction Is Finally Coming True
It’s probably safe to say that no one was expecting Days of Our Lives to reveal that Alex was Victor’s son. He hadn’t even been seen for decades until Robert Scott Wilson brought him to town all grown up, and even longtime viewers mostly forgot about the paternity drama back when mom Angelica got pregnant. He was, simply put, just Justin’s firstborn son.
But then that all got upended when Victor died and left behind a mystery that ended with the big reveal. It threw us all for a loop… but this wasn’t some random rewrite. In fact, Days of Our Lives and Justin telegraphed this very thing decades ago.
Back when Angelica first became pregnant during an affair with Justin, she insisted the child wasn’t his. He believed her, but Victor didn’t. But that proved to be the perfect opportunity for him to step in, marry Angelica and pass the kid off as his own. He’d get the heir he always wanted (and also get his hands on the money from Angelica’s previous husband, Harper Deveraux) and Justin would be none-the-wiser.
Victor pulled out all the stops, arranged an elaborate scheme… and Angelica married Neil Curtis instead.
Justin, though, was determined to figure out who soon-to-be-Alex belonged to, and, as you can see below in the clip fan Sixxers shared on Twitter/X, he put all the pieces together during a talk with Victor. Pieces which Victor denied.
At the time, we thought Victor was genuinely surprised because he was sure the baby was Justin’s. And maybe he was in this scene. The truth came out soon enough, of course… or so we thought. But now that we’ve seen Angelica’s letter, suddenly this scene takes on a whole new angle.
Maybe Victor didn’t know Alex was his yet. Maybe Angelica hadn’t told him and wouldn’t tell him until after it came out the boy was Justin’s. But Justin still called it, 34 years ago. If the truth had come out then, everything could have been different. But once Victor’s beloved nephew began raising Alex, he stepped back.
At least, that’s the running theory. Things may still change. This is Salem, after all. But the point is, this big reveal, while unexpected, made brilliant use of Days of Our Lives history to throw us all on one wild ride.
