Y&R Spoilers Next 2 Weeks: Cole Howard Returns, Nikki’s Escape Attempt, Nate’s New Chapter
The Young and the Restless Recap for Today, November 21, 2023:
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Victor learns disturbing news, Kyle keeps Audra on her toes, Claire sets a trap, and Nikki plots her escape.
Audra expresses her surprise to Kyle that he reached out to her. Considering how they parted ways, she thought she would not hear from him again. Kyle explains that his emotions got the best of him. Audra mentions that she was hesitant to meet him today. She asks him what’s really on his mind. Kyle reveals that he wants to be back in on the plan and be the CEO of Jabot.
Audra questions his sudden change of heart, considering how he was so adamant about leaving before. Kyle assures her that Tucker is wrong about his lack of commitment and promises to provide the evidence to prove it. At that moment, Tucker walks in and asks what evidence Kyle has to support his claim.
After leaving, Tucker, Audra and Kyle head to the Jazz Lounge where Tucker asks Kyle to explain further. Kyle plays a recording of Ashley talking about Tucker and Devon. Tucker expresses his concern that Ashley might be trying to manipulate him. He also notes that it seems like Ashley still thinks she can change him for the better.
Kyle offers to throw himself under the bus to show which side he is on. Audra calls it a dirty and sneaky move but is impressed by Kyle’s commitment. Tucker agrees that it’s a promising start and wonders how Kyle is going to do it.
Kyle shares his plan to play the role of the prodigal son after accepting the position at Jabot. As COO, he will be on the inside where he can get the information they need to destroy the company. Kyle says he sees this as the only way for him to run the company, so he agrees to their terms. However, Kyle warns Tucker not to play him. Tucker advises Kyle to head back to Thanksgiving Dinner and continue playing the prodigal son to get back into their good graces. Kyle agrees and Audra offers to walk out with him.
On their way out, Audra tells Kyle that she is glad he is back but notices that he doesn’t seem too happy, despite getting everything he wants. Kyle tells Audra not to try to manage him and reminds her why they need this plan to succeed. Meanwhile, Tucker texts Devon asking if they can try to fix things. Audra returns and tells Kyle that it seems like it’s just the two of them now. Tucker notes that he never really understood the point of Thanksgiving as he says turkey sucks. He invites her to go upstairs. She assumes he is referring to sex but clarifies that it’s not about that. He invites her to the dining room for a burger and bourbon. She accepts.
At the Abbott mansion, Diane is preparing for her first Thanksgiving as Jack’s wife. She expresses her desire to make the day perfect, but Jack reassures her that no one is keeping score. He reminds her that Thanksgiving is a day when all animosity is put aside and everyone comes together in gratitude and unity. Diane brings up the fact that Ashley was trying to run her out of town last year at this time, but Jack points out that on the day of Thanksgiving, Ashley showed restraint and didn’t cause any trouble. Jack also mentions that a lot has changed between Diane and Ashley in the last 12 months.
Ashley walks into the room and expresses her surprise at Diane’s act of saving her life. She had always assumed that Diane would rather watch her choke on a grape than help her out. They both acknowledge that they are now on the same side, working together to protect Jabot. Ashley talks about her past relationship with Tucker and how she ended things with him on their honeymoon. She suggests inviting Tucker to the Thanksgiving dinner to have a drink with Devon. Jack and Diane disagree with her idea.
Ashley tries to convince them by saying that they should put their differences aside, just like she has. Jack reminds her of their family tradition but Ashley insists that it’s just a drink and threatens to meet Tucker and Devon at the club if Jack doesn’t allow it. Diane pleads with Ashley to stay and Ashley agrees to be there for part of the dinner but insists on meeting Tucker for a drink. Jack advises her to be careful and leaves to check on dinner.
Ashley asks Diane if she understands why she’s doing what she’s doing, and Diane replies in the affirmative, but expresses concern about a potential issue with Ashley’s plan. Diane comprehends the reasoning behind Ashley’s intentions and implores her not to sacrifice the entire day for Tucker. Diane reminds Ashley that Jack would appreciate her presence, and so would she. She adds that the table would feel incomplete without Ashley at dinner. Ashley expresses gratitude towards Diane for her input.
Kyle enters the room and comments on how delicious it smells. Ashley leaves to prepare for the day. Kyle informs his mother that he has re-joined Tucker and Audra’s plot, stating his confidence in its success.
Y&R Recap Today
Victoria doesn’t want to interrupt her mom’s sister time with Aunt Casey, but she leaves a voice message for her, asking her to call back when she can because she really needs her advice. While coming off the elevator, Claire bumps into Victoria and apologizes. Victoria asks why Claire is there, thinking she was with her mother. Claire explains that she came back to get some things, but something happened with Nikki.
Victoria and Claire march into Victor’s office, where Claire notes that on her way back, she got a call from her aunt that Nikki had some sort of seizure this morning. She don’t know much, but apparently she collapsed. Her aunt call the ambulance and Nikki was taken to the hospital. Victor makes a call to get the jet ready because he is going over there. Victoria says she is going with him and they can get Nick on the way to the airport.

Nikki finds a bottle of water and takes a sip. She wonders how much vodka Claire had gotten into her system and remarks that she never felt like this in a long time, and never wanted to again. She calls out Claire’s name, asking why she’s doing this to her.
Nikki notices a bottle of vodka and tells herself that she won’t be tempted. She realizes that Claire knows her weakness, but Nikki sees it as a disease and encourages herself that she knows how to handle it, one day at a time, one minute at a time.
Nikki covers up the bottle of vodka and asks herself what kind of person would do this, referring to Claire. She uncovers it and decides to pour it out, knowing where it will lead if she doesn’t. However, Nikki stops herself and has a drink. She then returns to her room, drops the bottle on the floor, goes to bed, and cries out, “God, help me!”

Meanwhile, someone knocks on the door downstairs, shouting that it’s Cole (Victori’s ex, played by J. Eddie Peck). He mentions that he received Nikki’s text about Victoria and asks if she’s okay.
Y&R Recap Today
They meet at the GCAC, where Victor is trying to reach Nikki, but she is not responding to his calls. Claire is also trying to reach her aunt Jordan, but she is not responding either. Victor receives a call that the jet will be ready in half an hour, so he demands that they prepare it immediately. Victoria insists that they must leave right away because mom needs them.
Victor questions Claire about what really happened to Nikki and asks for the name of the hospital where she is being treated. However, Claire does not know because there are no hospitals near the lake. Victoria asks where her aunt was treated, but Claire reveals that her aunt hates hospitals, so a retired doctor attends to her. Victor urges Claire to do everything she can to get in touch with her aunt so they can inform her about Nikki’s medical condition. Claire finally manages to reach her aunt, and when she speaks to Victor, Jordan is surprised to hear from him.
Victor inquires about the health of his wife and Jordan informs him that the doctors are attending to her. He also adds that the doctors should be aware that his wife has MS. Jordan mentions that the doctors have diagnosed the condition and that the medication is working well. Nikki has recovered from the episode quite quickly. Victor asks for the name of the hospital and Jordan informs him that Nikki will be kept overnight for observation. Jordan uses the excuse of poor signal quality to end the call. Claire excuses the bad signal quality, stating that it can be terrible in that location. Victor expresses his eagerness to thank her aunt in person. Later, Victor announces that the jet is ready and they leave.
