Young & Restless’ Diane Could Exact the Ultimate Revenge on Phyllis — *If* [Spoiler] Will Lend a Hand
Despite all of Phyllis’ attacks and machinations, The Young and the Restless‘ Diane has, so far, actually played pretty nice. And partially as a result, Phyllis has skated with some fairly light consequences for all that she’s done. At least from a legal perspective!
Her relationships with Summer and Daniel may be on rocky territory, but do we really have any doubts that they’ll patch it up eventually? And as far as her career, she’s doing just fine joining SNA, so no harm, no foul right?
If we were Diane, though, we’d be steaming and looking for the perfect opening to get revenge. And if she played her cards right, she could even manage to keep her own hands fairly clean! Remember when Phyllis and Nikki brought in that reporter to dig up dirt on Diane? Well, that wasn’t a terrible idea, but they may have been better off with someone capable of a bit more viciousness than Talia. Someone like… Leanna Love?
It wouldn’t be the first time the two teamed up. Still smarting over her tussle with Victor after their marriage and her tell-all books, Leanna was all too happy to give Diane a platform on her gossip TV Show back in the ‘90s to bash their shared ex.
Their little team up was so effective, Victor ended up giving in to all of Diane’s demands in their divorce! And then buying the company that made Leanna’s show and firing her… These days, though, Leanna is a journalist gossip columnist, always happy to stop by Genoa City for some juicy dirt to throw out into the world.
But if she and Diane came together again to go after Phyllis, we’ve got no doubt the results would be downright devastating! Phyllis and Nikki didn’t have a clue what kind of skeletons were in Diane’s closet when they set Talia on her. We, though, know for a fact that Phyllis has enough in her closet to fill a graveyard.
And we’re not talking one of those tranquil, safe final resting places where you can pay respects to your loved ones. We mean a terrifying, nightmarish graveyard you only see in horror movies.
The point is, Diane wouldn’t even have to do much. She’d just have to point Leanna in Phyllis’ direction, tell her to do her thing and sit back and watch as nightmare after nightmare was dredged up for all the world to see. When Leanna put her mind to it, she managed to knock the great Victor Newman’s legs right out from under him. Just imagine how much damage she could do to Phyllis’ life…
So yeah, if Diane was of a mind for revenge, it wouldn’t take all that much work to get it.
