The Alliance That Could Upend Two Couples — and Get Adam What He Most Desires
Young & Restless’s Adam is due for a win and as is typical for the black sheep, he feels the best way to get what he wants is by plotting something shifty. So, it’s a good thing there’s someone in town right now who is in the perfect position to join him — or at least be useful to him — in a scheme to land his heart’s desire.
What Adam wants even more than Newman Media is, of course, to get Sally back. While the two of them have been communicating better lately, the redhead is still firmly entrenched in a relationship with his brother Nick, which means Adam may have to resort to something drastic to get her attention.
What better way to turn her head than to make her jealous by getting with someone else?
As longtime Young & Restless viewers will recall, Adam once dated legal eagle Heather Stevens. In fact, the two were engaged. While the two didn’t exactly part as dear friends, Heather had a soft spot for Victor’s son that allowed him to win her back at least once after things went sour.
Heather is back in Genoa City after returning to help Phyllis out of her considerable legal jam and then deciding to stay on, which presents Adam with an… opportunity. In fact, it could prove to be advantageous for both of them.
If Adam and Heather were to reconnect, they might realize that hanging out together and making it look as though they were rekindling their old flame would earn them a double-take from both Sally and Daniel — the exes they truly want to be with again.
What better way to pique Daniel and Sally’s interest than to make them realize they’re jealous? If seeing Adam and Heather together, canoodling over drinks, and whispering sweet nothings into each another’s ears, doesn’t make them sit up and take notice, then they probably don’t have unresolved feelings (and we know they do!).
Yes, an alliance between Adam and Heather certainly would have the potential to upend Sally/Nick and Daniel/Lily… and help Adam get back what he most desires — the woman he loves — Sally.
Even if it’s not a scheme, Adam asking Heather out for a drink would be a terrific diversion for viewers given that he’s been alone since his split from Sally. What say you? Give us your take in the comment section.
