Young & Restless’ Courtney Hope Sends an Important Message… to Her 18-Year-Old Self

“I cannot believe this man is 80,” Hope began then went on to reveal that “he doesn’t look it (doesn’t dye his hair), move like it or act it (minus his wisdom).” She also expressed why she loves her father so much and how she “won the dad jackpot in this lifetime.” Not only is he her best friend, mentor, supporter and her safe place, she stated, “He’s given me the space to become who God created me to be without judgement. He’s one of the greatest men I’ve ever known.”

But that’s not all… He’s also shown her how to “enjoy life, keep being curious, take care of your body and your mind, prioritize peace and joy, never stop learning new perspectives, stay kind, honor your boundaries, laugh often, dance a bit, let music penetrate your heart and move you, hone your intuition, persevere despite fear, and cultivate your skills, work ethic and hobbies equally- then age really does just become a number.”

Hope, who is known for staying positive and helping others by posting advice from time to time, again reminded everyone that “life is what you make it,” then revealed how her dad has “defied odds many may not have survived.” Some of his greatest assets are not only “his resilience and steady hand in the midst of fear and adversity, but “his compassion and empathy turn his experiences into deep wisdom. And that I can only define as true strength.”
