Vivian Makes a Bold Claim After Justin Discovers Victor’s Will Is Missing — and Sarah Passes Out After Giving Birth

In her office, Marlena tells John Doe that his MRI shows an old skull fracture that has since healed. Otherwise, he’s in excellent health. He wants to go find his son, just as John shows up. John informs John Doe that he was in a VA hospital and hands him Joseph Bell’s dog tags. He adds that he served in the Korean War with his biological father, Timothy Robicheaux. The name sounds familiar to John Doe, who asks John to tell him more about him.

Holding dog tags, John sits with Dick Van Dyke's character in Marlena's office.

John recaps how his father became the evil Yo Ling. John Doe recalls that when he was injured in the war, a soldier switched their dog tags and left him to die. John realizes the Joseph Bell dog tags aren’t his. John Doe didn’t think that name sounded familiar. John removes another pair of dog tags from around his neck and says, “That’s because your name is Timothy Robicheaux.” All this time, you’ve been searching for your son, he says. “Sir, your search is over.”

Marlena tells Timothy he was lost in the VA system after he was wounded in the war. As for John, they don’t know much about his history except he was born on a farm — and Timothy came from a farm. Timothy recalls that, along with his wife’s name — Maude, who had their baby after he disappeared. Timothy laments the hard life John must have had, but all that matters to John is that he’s there now. As Timothy questions him, John relays his being put up for adoption is a complicated story and that Maude passed away a few years ago.

John grows emotional, finally learning where he came from after all the twists and turns. He credits Marlena and Timothy with making him the man he is today. Timothy says they need to ensure they don’t lose each other again.

John and Timothy, played by Dick Van Dyke, embrace.

When Sarah’s water breaks outside the Kiriakis mausoleum, she doubles over. Screaming in pain, she says she feels like she needs to push. Xander flashes back to when Sarah gave birth on the side of the road. She reclines on a lounge chair, as Chloe races to get Rex’s medical bag. Xander worries it’s too early, but Rex assures him she’s full-term. He then sends Xander to get some towels.

Sarah makes Rex promise the same thing that happened to Mackenzie isn’t going to happen again. Rex promises. Half out of her mind in pain, Sarah worries she’ll tell Xander he’s the father. Rex assures her she won’t tell him unless she wants to. Xander and Chloe return with supplies, and Rex starts prepping. When Sarah yelps in pain, Xander gives her his hand to squeeze. Another clip plays of Xander helping Sarah the first time she gave birth.

With Victor's portrait looming behind them outside, Rex helps a pregnant Sarah to a chair.

With Xander behind her on the lounge chair for support, Sarah gives birth to a girl. Holding her daughter, Sarah says she feared if she had another girl, it’d be like replacing Mackenzie. Instead, she’s filled with so much love. She’s perfect. When Sarah starts shivering, she hands Xander the baby. She shakily says there’s something he should know, but passes out before she can say anything else.

Xander crouches next to the lounge chair as Sarah holds her baby, who's wrapped in an all encompassing blanket.

Waltzing into the Kiriakis mansion, Vivian helps herself to a mimosa. Maggie orders her out, but Vivian declares she’s there to stay. “Cheers,” she says, raising her champagne flute. When the group wonders why she’s not in prison, Justin assumes she was furloughed for Victor’s funeral. Maggie wonders why, since she’s not family. Vivian can’t believe she’d say such a thing in front of her son.

“Here we go,” Philip sighs and hugs her. Kate shouts that just because she stole her embryo doesn’t make Philip her son. Bonnie notices Vivian isn’t wearing an ankle monitor, leading Vivian to reveal she was released on good behavior. She produces her release papers as proof. Justin confirms them. Maggie quotes Victor when she yells, “Get the hell out of my house!” When Bonnie gets involved, and Vivian learns she’s not Adrienne, Vivian asks Justin, “Did you trade Adrienne for a carbon copy the way I did when Nicholas lost his cocker spaniel?”

After more bickering and rehashing of the past, Vivian threatens to smash one of Maggie’s figurines. An exasperated Philip asks her to leave. She won’t until the will is read. Assuring her she’s not one of Victor’s inheritors, he checks the safe to prove it to her, but the will’s gone. Vivian smugly raises another mimosa and drinks.

With a mimosa in hand, Vivian holds Maggie's intense glare. Bonnie Justin Philip and Kate surround them.

As Justin calls Victor’s estate attorneys, Kate pulls Philip aside. She tells him neither of them are in the will, but Victor set up a secret trust for him. Philip suggests they leave then. After they do, Justin informs the rest of the group that Victor had his will destroyed while he was away. With no will on record, everything goes to the surviving spouse. So, Justin says, Maggie inherits everything. “That’s not really true,” Vivian states.

At the Pub, Kate tells Philip how lovely his eulogy was and asks if he’s okay. Philip realizes this time, it really is goodbye. He always thought he’d have a chance to redeem himself in Victor’s eyes. He flashes to a heartfelt moment between himself and Victor before one of his departures. Kate assures her son that Victor loved him unconditionally. She then revels over Vivian learning she’ll get nothing in the will.

At the mansion, Vivian tells Justin, Bonnie, and Maggie that she’s the surviving spouse. The divorce papers were never properly filed, making Maggie and Victor’s marriage null and void. Vivian inherits everything.

Bonnie and Maggie face Justin with shocked and confused expressions. Behind the women, Vivian smugly holds a mimosa.
