Valentin and Anna Catch One Another in a Lie — and Cody Is Shocked by What He Discovers at Ferncliff

At the hospital, Alexis arrives to encourage her daughter as the surrogate is undergoing implantation today. She also tells Molly that Kristina sends a message that she hopes everything goes well today. Molly is glad Kristina didn’t show up, as that would have sent her over the edge. Alexis says Molly’s already over the edge because of her dad. Molly understands and while she loves her Uncle Sonny, she also can’t turn a blind eye to what he’s done given she’s the ADA.

Molly asks her mother if she feels she’s moving too fast with the surrogate. Alexis says only she and TJ can determine that. Alexis believes this is more a feeling thing than a thinking practical one, and her and TJ’s feelings will tell them what is right. Alexis tells her daughter she loves her and wishes her luck, but has to get to the Metro Court.

TJ joins Molly, and the surrogate Andrea arrives and says she’s ready for this. Andrea admits she’s been a wreck all morning, but TJ says it’s a simple routine procedure. Andrea has been taking her pills and her tests and is ovulating now, which is why she called them. The nurse calls Andrea and says they’re ready for her.

As they wait, Molly tells TJ about her mom’s visit, and Kristina being worried about Sonny. TJ knows the arrest has been all over the news. Molly wants to reach out to her, but she can’t as she is still so mad at her. She knows they’ll work things out eventually, but right now she has to focus on their family.

Later Andrea returns and the procedure is complete, and now they wait and see. Andrea informs them that they’ll know more in two weeks. Molly tells her how much this means to them, and TJ tells her to take care. Andrea heads home, and Molly says she has a good feeling about this.

Anna and Valentin return to their room at The Metro Court after breakfast. Anna looks around and thinks something is off. She notices the mail has been moved, but Valentin says it was likely the housekeepers. He wonders if she’s all right. Anna says ever since Sonny was arrested, she’s been anxious. She’s worried about him, and wonders if Pikeman had something to do with Sonny’s arrest. Valentin says Pikeman is about profit, so he doubts they’d turn him in. Plus they were the ones who wanted to work with him. Valentin also reminds her how good Sonny is at getting out of spots like these, and this won’t be any different. Anna asks if Valentin could use his contact at Pikeman and see if they know anything. Valentin offers to make a call and does so.

After his call, Valentin tells Anna that his contact didn’t want to get into this over the phone, but has agreed to meet him. He says he’ll let her know what he finds out and takes off. Anna gives him a second and then trails him.

In the restaurant, Nina leaves a message with Diane to please call her back. Kristina arrives and they discuss Sonny’s situation. Kristina thanks Nina and says she really does feel like family now, and how a crisis brings people together. Nina tells Kristina that she knew Sonny’s kids came with the package, she loves her, and she’s been supportive of them since the beginning. Nina wishes they could only get Michael on team-Nina. Kristina thinks Willow’s love may do that, but Nina worries if Willow’s illness couldn’t bring him around, Sonny’s arrest won’t.

Kristina has to go but says to keep in touch if Nina hears anything. She departs, and Tish asks Nina when they plan to open for the day as the phone has been ringing off the hook. Nina tells her that she can open up now.

Alexis arrives to speak with Nina about Sonny. She says with Sonny off the streets, he’s not able to look out for his family. Nina points out there are still the guards, but Alexis says they are loyal to Sonny, not his family. She warns Nina if Sonny goes to prison, then she and his children are vulnerable.

Elsewhere, Dante storms into Aurora’s office and demands to know if Michael turned their dad in. Michael tells him to calm down, and he was there when he was arrested. Michael says he had nothing to do with this, but Dante seems unsure, as he recalls when Michael swore to take Sonny down. He tells Michael to just admit he did it.

Michael swears again he didn’t do it. He knows sending Sonny away would fracture the family and put them all in danger. He meant it when he made peace with their dad, and Willow’s situation made him realize how fragile life is. He says she made him see it takes more energy to hate than love. Dante says he married a wise woman, and he’s sorry he accused him.

Kristina soon arrives, and Dante tells his siblings he’ll see what he can find out when Dad may be released. Dante leaves, and Kristina guesses Dante accused him of turning in Dad. Michael says he didn’t do it, and Kristina believes him. However, she assumes he’s happy Dad got arrested. Michael admits Dad probably deserved to be arrested, as he is a criminal. However, he’s not happy, and the scene at the Metro Court was a nightmare for poor Wiley, and for all of them. Kristina asks if Dad can beat the charges. Michael states the charges are very serious, but Kristina doesn’t understand them as he’s not a threat to the country, and he didn’t commit treason. Michael notes this is why Dad shields them from all the details of his business, and they don’t know what he did or didn’t do. Michael believes their Dad wouldn’t want her getting caught up in this and to focus on her work. She can’t help but worry and asks Michael if he thinks the arraignment will clear Dad. Michael doesn’t believe so.

Dante goes to the restaurant and runs into his mom. She asks him about Sonny, but he hasn’t heard anything. He inquires if she’s seen Cody. She tells him that Cody took the week off. Dante asks why. Olivia doesn’t know, but it was Sam who told her that he was away. Puzzled, he says he has to go.

Dante boards the elevator, calls Cody, and leaves a message with him to call him. He then calls Mac to see if he’s heard from Cody, but Mac hasn’t.

Meanwhile, Olivia finds Alexis and Nina and says she just saw Dante, and he has no updates on Sonny. Nina asks what this means for Sonny. Alexis says when it comes to the feds, they wouldn’t make a move this drastic without serious evidence. Nina knows they both share children with him, and this can’t be easy for them. Alexis says it isn’t, and she doesn’t approve of it, but Sonny has a way of beating these things. Alexis hopes for all their sakes that he gets out of this.

Anna follows Valentin to an estate somewhere, and he enters the front door. She listens in, but all she hears is Valentin tell someone this is important and let him know when they hear back. Valentin exits.

Anna races back to the Metro Court and beats Valentin. When he enters the suite, she comes out of the bathroom in a bathrobe claiming to have just had a hot shower. Valentin explains he didn’t have much time with his contact, they met at a café near the airport as he was leaving town. Valentin asks, “Did you just say you had a hot shower?” She confirms she had a shower. He notes that’s odd as the woman at the front desk let him know the hot water was out on this floor and they are working on it. Anna claims the temperature seemed fine to her. They get back to what Valentin learned. He relays that Pikeman had nothing to do with Sonny’s arrest. Anna says perhaps his contact didn’t want to tell him in a public setting such as a cafe. Valentin says if he had something sensitive to say, they would have met in a more private place. Anna thanks him for trying and notes he made good time getting back from the airport this time of day. She leaves to get dressed, and both appear suspicious of the other.

Sam arrives at Ferncliff to check on Cody, and she informs Janice that she was told she needed to fill out more paperwork. Nurse Janice hands her some forms.

Cody paces his room and tells a different doctor that he shouldn’t be here and that he should have lied to that other doctor. He continues his act that he just wants all these speeding thoughts in his head to stop, but he also wants to sleep but can’t sleep. He continues to act manic and goes off on a tangent about the government watching him all the time and trying to control him. He screams that he doesn’t want to be here and to be let out. The doctor gives him a pill and says it will help him sleep. Cody takes it, swallows the contents of the little cup, and the doc leaves. Once alone we see he palmed the pill.

Dr. Montague stops by to see Sasha, who asked to see him. Coherent, she thanks Dr. Montague for all he’s done, and she’s ready to go home because his treatment has worked. Dr. Montague says she is not ready to go home. Sasha says she has a lot of money and can pay him. He takes out a syringe and claims this is not about money. He reminds her that he stays with his patients until the end, and this is not the end for her. She screams, but he says she’s just paranoid and this will help and injects her with drugs.

Later, Montague runs into Sam and she’s surprised to see him here. Dr. Montague says he is a psychiatrist, but wonders why she’s here. She explains she has a friend who had to be committed, and she is his medical proxy. Dr. Montague asks if this is her boyfriend, and she asserts he is only her friend. She couldn’t imagine having a partner committed, not that she was judging. Dr. Montague says many of the patients here are in crisis, but he makes sure they get what they need.

Janice returns to check on Sasha and finds her in bed and unresponsive. Sasha finally opens her eyes, and Janice asks if Sasha remembers her. Sasha says nothing. Janice realizes Sasha is getting worse, and she’ll talk to Montague. She feels her treatment here isn’t working and they need to send her to a different facility.

After Janice leaves, Cody sneaks into Sasha’s room and finds her out cold on the bed. He wonders what they’ve done to her.

Sam returns home and finds Dante waiting. Dante asks her about telling his mom that Cody took a few days off. Sam admits she told Olivia that. Dante asks where Cody is?
