The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) could find himself facing the same treatment Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) faced at Newman Enterprises. Now that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is giving Nate the boot, he’s going to need another job.

Of course, Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) will think this is the perfect chance for Nate to rejoin Chancellor-Winters.

Since Mamie is all about family unity, she’ll push Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to welcome Nate back with open arms.

However, it won’t be that simple for Lily and Devon.

Although Devon is becoming a bit more open to the idea of reconciliation and maybe even a Chancellor-Winters return for Nate, that doesn’t mean Nate will be able to pick up where he left off.

Devon shut down the idea of Nate resuming his COO status in the November 7 episode since Nate can’t be trusted enough for that.

Nate may have to accept a major demotion if he wants to make a Chancellor-Winters comeback.

Perhaps Nate could be given the opportunity to start at the bottom and work his way up – much like the opportunity Adam was given.

Nate was honestly handed the COO position too quickly and without the necessary qualifications, so Devon may insist Nate needs to pay his dues if he wants a new beginning at Chancellor-Winters.

That’s especially true since Nate’s firing at Newman is happening because of Victor’s insistence that he’s a traitor!

When you combine that with Nate’s previous Chancellor-Winters traitor drama, there are good reasons for Devon and Lily to proceed with caution.

Lily may back Devon up since this could help Nate build some trust over time, but can Nate get past the humiliation of it all?

If Nate’s forced to work as a lowly assistant or in some other role that he feels is beneath him, he may have reservations about taking the job.

On the other hand, it might be Nate’s own suggestion if he gets desperate enough for a new position and wants to offer a path forward.

What happened with Adam might give Nate the idea for this loyalty test and the chance to earn the Chancellor-Winters COO role again eventually.

It’d be interesting if Nate wound up becoming an assistant to Devon or someone else at Chancellor-Winters since it’d give him something in common with Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), who’s Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) assistant at Newman Media.

Claire might use something like that to grow closer to Nate, so Y&R fans will eagerly await more news on their deepening connection.
