Monday, August 28 – Sharon Threatens to Back Out of Deal – Victor’s Shocking CEO Decision

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 28, reveal that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will get fed up with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and how selfish he’s being. When Sharon first pitched the idea of working with Adam, she wanted to be a real team.

Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) tried to get Adam on board with their unified vision for SNA Media, but now he wants to fly solo in the CEO seat once it’s folded into Newman Media.

Adam is obsessed with reclaiming the Newman Media throne, so he views this as the perfect opportunity to slide back into the role.

Of course, that’s not going to work for Nick and Sharon, so they’ll discuss a new tactic on Monday’s Y&R episode.

During a private meeting away from Adam, Sharon will suggest to Nick that maybe it’s time to back out of the deal entirely.

Since Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) are trying to change the terms, Sharon will be interested in yanking Kirsten Incorporated out of their grasp.

That’d at least give Sharon control again and stop Newman Media from swallowing up her contribution. The downside is that Sharon can’t do as much with Kirsten Incorporated on her own since it’s a failing company.

Even so, Sharon will consider bailing on this deal and perhaps pursuing a new one with Nick’s cooperation. There are surely some other ways to do some good with Kirsten Incorporated, which has always been Sharon’s ultimate goal.

However, Victor will have big plans for his growing media empire and may somehow convince Sharon to stay on board.

Whatever the case, Victor will give someone more power during the week of August 28-September 1 – and that someone will be Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Since Nikki will take charge somehow in the coming episodes, it sounds like Victor will want her to run things after the media merger is complete.

Even if Nikki just accepts the Newman Media CEO spot temporarily, Victor could make quite a splash if she’s indeed his top pick.

Adam will no doubt feel snubbed by Victor’s upcoming move, but his father will be determined to put him in his place.

In the meantime, Sally will discuss some ground rules with Adam in case they do end up working together again, but Victor’s intentions could throw everyone for a loop soon enough.

Across town, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will discover something disturbing, so that may involve her suspicions about Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

Audra and Nate may be getting too close for comfort, so Elena will remain curious about their bond and could find out some troubling details as this storyline moves along.
