Michelle Stafford Reveals End of Phyllis & Diane’s Feud – New Separate Storylines Coming Up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that a fierce rivalry is winding down – and not a moment too soon! Y&R fans know Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) let her hatred for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) drive her over the edge, so she teamed up with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and landed in a giant mess.

Phyllis faked her demise, framed Diane and nearly sent her enemy to prison, so it’s clear that she went too far.

Now Phyllis is facing serious charges, especially since she had to take Jeremy out in self-defense once the plan went awry.

Diane is never going to be Phyllis’ favorite person, but it seems like Phyllis understands that she has far bigger problems than their past showdowns.

Phyllis agreed to help Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) take Diane down, but she’ll turn the tables on Tucker during the week of July 31-August 4.

Phyllis will seek Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) help to exploit Tucker’s weak spot and take him down instead, so that sounds like a fresh story direction for her.

In a new Cameo video that Michelle Stafford made for a fan, she hinted about Phyllis and Diane indeed heading down different story paths. Let’s look at what Stafford had to say in the clip, which was shared on social media.

“And the feud between Phyllis and Diane…I think that’s coming to an end right now,” Stafford said. “I think we’re going off in different stories right now.”

Of course, that fits with Y&R spoilers for Phyllis as well as Diane, whose main rival has become Ashley at this point.

There was a time when Phyllis was Diane’s true nemesis, but Ashley and Tucker are the ones Diane has to worry about most at the moment.

Regardless, it’s nice to hear from Stafford herself that Diane and Phyllis’ long-standing hostility won’t be the focus in this next chapter.

Plenty of viewers grew tired of Phyllis and Diane’s constant bickering, so it’s great news that they’ll explore some other exciting stories and drama in the months ahead.
