The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) plans to put Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) loyalty to the test, but he hasn’t revealed what that means just yet. Kyle just knows he’ll probably have to do something terrible to his own family to prove he’s committed to Tucker’s alliance.

Of course, Kyle probably assumes that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be the targets of whatever he’s ordered to do.

Despite the act Kyle put on with Billy recently, Y&R fans know he still wants to run Jabot and probably wouldn’t mind targeting his uncle all that much.

It gets a little tougher when Jack’s involved, but at least Kyle can remind himself that his dad has been tossing him crumbs lately and isn’t respecting him.

However, betraying Billy and Jack may not be exactly what Tucker has in mind for Kyle.

If Tucker really wants to test Kyle’s loyalty and prove that he’ll put their partnership above the people he cares about, he needs to focus on someone else.

Could Diane be the surprise target of Tucker’s loyalty test? Tucker might contend that if Kyle can betray his beloved mother, then he’ll truly believe Kyle is an ally who can see this takeover plot through to the end.

Diane has been supportive of Kyle’s return to Jabot and has even lobbied for his comeback in conversations with Jack.

Although Diane has made mistakes in the past, she adores Kyle and has been on his side here.

That makes Diane the perfect person for Tucker to use since she’s innocent in this particular case.

Kyle would have a hard time doing anything that would jeopardize Diane’s happy marriage or her job at Jabot.

That’s the whole point of a test like this – to make it difficult so that Tucker will trust Kyle once he pulls it off.

The problem is Kyle may not be able to complete his mission if Diane is at the heart of it.

Kyle might be asked to do something that could get Diane fired and cause her relationship with Jack to take a hit.

If so, that may cross the line of what Kyle’s willing to do. Kyle could have quite a dilemma on his hands if Tucker throws Diane at the center of this loyalty test drama.

Regardless, Billy is onto Kyle and suspects Tucker might’ve turned him against the rest of the Abbott family.

Most of the Abbotts are about to band together and rise up, so Tucker’s takeover scheme won’t go according to plan.
