Chelsea & Nick’s Surprise Romantic Reunion – Another Chance at Love?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will head back to Genoa City in the not-too-distant future. Melissa Claire Egan confirmed her imminent return on social media since she’s already filming again following her maternity leave.
Of course, Chelsea was romantically involved with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) when she was forced to leave town for Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) sake.
Will Billy and Chelsea still be able to find their spark once she’s back in GC?
It’s possible Chelsea and Billy will pick up right where they left off, but it’s also possible things will quickly fall apart!
This could be a good opportunity for Y&R to reset these characters and send them down different paths in the love department.
Billy certainly has other romantic options on canvas, but let’s focus on who Chelsea might turn to if she ends up single.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) could find himself looking for a new leading lady soon since he’s about to dump Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) for her own good.
Nick will push Sally away so she can concentrate on nailing down her true feelings, so her heart will either lead her back to Nick or Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
If Sally and Adam get back together, maybe Nick could get back together with a former flame, too.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is an option to consider, but we can’t forget that Chelsea is also Nick’s ex.
In various interviews in the past, Joshua Morrow and Melissa Claire Egan have been quite vocal about how much they love working together.
Egan and Morrow have a solid real-life friendship, so they definitely enjoy hanging out on set and would probably jump at the chance for their characters to reunite.
Although Nick and Chelsea’s relationship wasn’t all that popular in the past, Y&R might give them another try anyway.
It’s at least worth considering since Nick tends to like repeat romances and dipping into Adam’s previous love interest pile!
