The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, November 9 – Chance Wakes Up to Summer, Sharon Spies Hospital Bedside Bond

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 9, reveals that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will warn Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) isn’t out of the woods yet, but she’ll reveal that his prognosis is good since the bullet went straight through.

After Elena says Sharon can see Chance, Sharon will join Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) in his room.

Since Elena will be optimistic about Chance’s recovery, she’ll eventually push Nina, Christine and Sharon to take a break away from the hospital.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon will enjoy some spiked coffee with Nina and Christine, so that’ll bring a conversation about Chance landing in danger again.

Nina will feel like Sharon could convince Chance to get out of this line of work.

Considering Sharon was previously involved with a cop who faced danger, Nina will assume she’d want to try.

Sharon will clarify that Rey Rosales (Sharon Case) was her husband and that it broke her heart to lose him, but it didn’t happen in the line of duty.

However, Sharon will have sympathy for Nina, who’d never choose a dangerous career path for her son.

That’ll be the difference according to Sharon since she chose to be with Rey and Chance knowing what it meant.

Sharon will ultimately suggest that maybe there’s something about guys like Chance that need to be in the action and can’t be talked out of it.

When Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) arrives on Thursday’s Y&R episode, he’ll get updates on Chance’s ordeal and express relief over the good news about his prognosis.

After Sharon and Nina head back to the hospital, Danny will chat with Christine and invite her to dinner since his plans with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) fell through.

Christine will agree on the condition that this is just a friendly meal, so Danny will understand that it’s not a date.

Back at the hospital, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will show up to see Chance, so Elena will tell her that it looks like he’s going to be fine.

After Summer asks if she can sit with Chance, Elena will urge her to stay as long as she likes.

While Chance remains unconscious, Summer will wish he’d wake up and tell her that he’s really going to be OK.

When Summer thinks back to learning Chance got shot, she’ll admit she worried she’d never get to see him or talk to him again.

Summer won’t think she could’ve gotten through her whole ordeal with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) without Chance, so she’ll be grateful that he’s in her life.

After Summer says Chance has to be strong and get through this, she’ll confess she can’t bear the thought of losing him.

Over drinks at the GCAC, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will rehash all the drama that just played out with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) trap.

Although Victoria will think she can help Nate fight for his job, Nick will have his doubts about Victor changing his mind.

Nick will also reflect on Victor wanting him to come back to Newman and wonder what Victoria’s going to do since she’s feeling so hurt over their dad’s plan.

Victoria will eventually decide to listen to some music in the jazz lounge and figure out what to do about Victor in the morning.

Once Victoria walks off, Nick will get a text from Victor that once again pressures him to return to Newman Enterprises.

At the bar in the jazz lounge, Nate will meet up with Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and keep alluding to something that happened earlier.

Devon will try to get Nate to open up, but Nate will want to keep the focus on them and the reason for this meeting.

After Devon talks about Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) fighting to bring the family together, he’ll admit he hears Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) voice in his head telling him to give Nate another chance.

Nate will appreciate Devon reaching out, but he’ll suggest there’s a lot of blood in the water and will feel like they both need to let it all go.

Devon will know it can’t happen overnight, but he’ll think forgiveness is possible since they’re family.

When Devon mentions Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) doing something funny recently, he’ll recall how he whipped out his phone to send Nate something and felt dumb once he remembered they were on bad terms.

Devon won’t want that to happen anymore, so Nate will soften and urge Devon to call him next time.

Victoria will walk in and spot Nate, so she’ll interrupt in hopes of explaining herself. Although Nate will try to send Victoria away, Devon will think he’s made progress with Nate and will take off to let them talk.

Once they’re alone, Nate will once again rant about Victoria siding with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but Victoria will argue that she genuinely just didn’t agree with Nate’s plan.

After Victoria asks if a small part of Nate saw an opportunity for them to take control, Nate will act like he was trying to help Victoria and that he genuinely believed a private clinic was best for Victor.

Victoria will also understand Victor’s perspective a bit and see how it might’ve looked when Nate fought to send him elsewhere.

Although Victoria will suggest they can salvage this, Nate won’t think he wants to and won’t see why he should be part of cruel games.

Nevertheless, Victoria won’t think Nate’s ready to turn his back on Newman Enterprises just yet.

Once Nate says he needs some time before making a decision, Victoria will insist she’d hate for Victor’s actions to cause things to fall apart between them.

After today, Nate will struggle to trust where he fits on Victoria’s list of priorities.

Victoria will want to make things up to Nate and fight for them, but he’ll wonder what happens when another issue comes up with her family.

Since Mamie warned Nate that he’d always be a Newman outsider, he’ll hint that maybe this is a wake-up call about reconnecting with his own family.

No matter what Nate decides to do next, he’ll reiterate that he needs time to figure it out.

Back at the hospital, Chance will open his eyes and see that Summer’s sitting next to his bedside.

After Chance smiles and takes Summer’s hand, Sharon will approach the doorway and look uneasy as she spies the close moment.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon, Chance and Summer’s love triangle will come with some twists and turns, so stay tuned to see how things will play out.
