The Young and the Restless Next 2 Weeks: Matchmaker Scheme, Exes Reconnect, Lifesaving Move and Job Shakeups

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the next two weeks, August 28 to September 8, reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will change her mind about letting Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) fund a new business. Sally previously fought the idea since her relationship with Nick was so new, but now she’ll be interested in his investment.

During the week of August 28-September 1, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will hear about Sally’s decision and warn that Nick won’t be as hands-off as she thinks he will.

When Nick later suggests he might ditch the merger and come help Sally start her new venture, it’ll leave Sally fearing that Adam was right.

That’s why Sally will make it clear to Nick that she needs someone to financially back her business, but she won’t be looking for a partner.

Sally won’t want to put their romance at risk by messing with the power dynamics, so Nick should understand.

As for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’ll call a big meeting and reveal a stunning choice.

Adam, Nick and Sharon will learn that Victor has chosen Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as the CEO of Newman Media following the merger.

That news will naturally send Adam off the rails again, so look for him to cook up a revenge plot soon.

Meanwhile, Sharon will wrestle with a difficult decision, so she might decide to pull Kirsten Incorporated out of the merger and do something else with it instead.

At Society, Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will make a bold move when Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) begins choking on a piece of fruit.

After Diane intervenes and helps Ashley cough it up, Ashley will struggle to catch her breath and express her amazement over Diane saving her life.

Although Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will cause some hostility between Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Ashley and Jack are headed for a truce – a genuine one this time.

After Dr. George (Mattilyn Rochester Kravitz) updates Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) on Aria Porter-Copeland’s (Maddie and Millie Ingle) treatable yet incurable condition, they’ll explore their options for dealing with her hearing issues.

Over with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), he’ll fight for the spot he wants at Newman Enterprises.

With Nikki vacating the co-CEO spot to go run Newman Media instead, Nate may hope this is his chance to work alongside Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Of course, Nikki may have other plans since she doesn’t trust Nate.

Y&R spoilers say Nikki will put Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to work on a new assignment, so she might recruit Audra to break up Nate and Victoria.

Back with Billy, he’ll provoke Adam and stir up some conflict.

Billy can never resist getting under Adam’s skin – and it should be pretty easy right now since he’s more frustrated than ever with Victor.

During the week of September 4-8, Nikki will embrace being in charge of Newman Media and could make some changes.

Victor is putting a lot of faith in Nikki to run his powerhouse media division, so she won’t want to let him down.

Elsewhere, Victor will lay down the law with Victoria and remind her whose company she’s running.

It sounds like Victor will pull rank and insist he has the final say when it comes to decision-making.

Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will play Cupid, so that could be for Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) if she can’t accept their divorce.

There’s also a chance Phyllis could play matchmaker for Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) if she decides he’s better off with his ex than Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Speaking of Lily, she’ll do some bonding with Billy. As Billy and Lily catch up, they’ll strengthen their connection again and could feel some familiar sparks.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the next two weeks will be packed with action and drama, so stay tuned.
