Finn Switched at Birth – Twist Takes Away Sheila’s Bond, Offers New Bio Mom?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) feels backed into a horrible corner. It seems like there’s no way out since Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is never going to leave Finn alone – and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) just can’t handle that.

Although Finn is hoping to somehow eliminate Sheila’s threat, there are only so many ways he can pull that off.

Sheila won’t listen to reason, so any plan Finn might form would be risky and could result in him landing behind bars.

B&B fans know prison walls can’t hold Sheila for long if history is any indication, so trying to put her back there feels pointless.

Finn could hold Sheila captive indefinitely or plot her demise, but those options could end in disaster if he gets caught and sent to the slammer himself.

However, there could be another way out if the show decides to offer a shocking twist.

In the September 5 episode, Sheila boldly declared that nothing could change the fact that she gave birth to Finn.

Could that have been an anvil about a new curveball that’s in the works? After all, there’s indeed a way to change the fact that Sheila gave birth to Finn since rewrites happen all the time on soaps.

Sheila had a baby with Jack Finnegan (Ted King), who convinced her to let him raise Finn with Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) and just pretend he was some random child they adopted.

The truth eventually came out, but it may not have been the whole story.

Maybe Finn was switched at birth – meaning the baby Jack raised with Li might’ve belonged to someone else besides Sheila.

Let’s say Sheila delivered Finn and faced a mix-up at the hospital.

Sheila might’ve been given the wrong baby by mistake and then let Jack take that baby home with him.

Then again, the swap might be intentional if someone planned to mess with Sheila or Jack.

It’d be easy to invent some stunning backstory to explain all this and take things in a new direction.

Since Finn has been serving as Sheila’s doctor and has access to her medical records, it’d be interesting if he stumbled across information that proved they couldn’t possibly be related.

A DNA test could back that up eventually.

Without this supposedly powerful maternal bond, Sheila might finally leave Finn alone and search for her actual missing child.

Likewise, Finn could get a new bio mom at some point – perhaps a sane one that wouldn’t blow up his marriage or try to harm his family in any way.

Finn could meet his birth father too since a baby swap would undo his paternity.

There’d be tons of dramatic potential in a twist like this, so let’s hope B&B makes some updates to Finn’s family tree!
