The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Donna & Eric’s Breakup – Honey Bear’s Recovery Can’t Overcome Warning Signs?
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that there are some big issues in Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) relationship with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) that the show is choosing to overlook. Could those issues actually be warning signs about what the future holds for Donna and her honey bear?
Eric has known about his grim condition for a while now, so why didn’t he want to remarry Donna and give her that parting gift?
It’s strange that Eric avoided has tying the knot with Donna again, especially since he believed he’d face a gloomy fate and was so focused on making the most of the time he had left.
You’d think Eric could’ve found one afternoon for a wedding to solidify his relationship with Donna and let her know how much she meant to him.
Instead, Eric was content to leave Donna as his live-in girlfriend instead of his wife.
That’s important now that we have this storyline with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), who has Eric’s medical power of attorney.
Donna doesn’t get to decide what happens to the man she loves since Ridge is in the driver’s seat. Ridge is pumping the brakes on Eric’s experimental treatment, so that’s deeply upsetting for Donna since she wants to save Eric by any means necessary.
Of course, you could argue that perhaps Eric thought Ridge would be more level-headed than Donna in a time of crisis.
If Eric feared Donna’s emotions would be all over the place, he might’ve trusted Ridge to stay calm and rational.
However, this is one case where maybe an emotional response is needed!
Ridge is being ridiculous, especially considering he was literally begging for any possible way to save Eric a few episodes ago.
Donna is the one who’s seen how scared Eric was first-hand and knows how much he wanted to stay alive.
It seems like Donna would know better than Ridge here, so this situation could create some lasting drama.
Naturally, it looks like Ridge will surrender eventually, so Donna will be thrilled when this experimental treatment presumably saves Eric.
Even so, Donna may not forget what it felt like to be cast aside while Ridge made choices instead of her. It could be the start of some resentment that’ll grow and present itself in other ways down the road.
Eric’s recovery may not be enough to save his romance with Donna since B&B’s already highlighting some cracks in the foundation.
Is bad news brewing for Eric and Donna’s future despite this life-saving treatment? Will Donna and Eric break up sooner or later?
