Sonny Connects the Dots Between Mason, Austin and Cyrus — Plus, Tracy Tells Lois Why She Really Bought Deception

Curtis slips into bed as Porta knocks on his door and asks if he wants company. He tells her to sit down, and she joins him. They talk about the dinner, and Portia thinks about having a big party at The Savoy for Trina’s graduation. He points out that is two years from now, but she thinks it’s never too early to start planning. Curtis knows he won’t be able to dance with his daughter at her party and has to get used to watching from the sidelines.

Portia tries to comfort him, but he stops her. He says he can’t love her like he used to. Portia feels they can still connect physically, but he says he’s just not ready. She thinks they just need to take things slowly, and they’ll get there. Curtis knows the doctors told him that he can have sex, but his mind is not ready to make love to her. She knows in time he will be ready, and they’ll get through this together.

Portia promises she won’t give up on him, and even if they never share a bed like they used to, she still isn’t going anywhere. He says he hears her, and this is a lot to put up with. She insists she isn’t putting up with anything, she loves him, and his opening up has made her feel that much closer to him. She says he’s letting her in, and that’s a start. They kiss and tell one another they love the other.

In the Quartermaine’s kitchen, Lois accuses Tracy of blackmailing her daughter. Tracy says blackmail is a strong word. Lois tells Tracy that she took advantage of Brook Lynn and now she must answer to her. Tracy states that Brook Lynn got in trouble, and she helped her out of it at the cost of a favor. Lois blasts Tracy for extorting her daughter, which isn’t a favor. Tracy says Brook Lynn got what she wanted and so did she, end of story.

Lois asks Tracy what was in this for her, night cream? She accuses Tracy of going after Deception to satisfy her own greed. Tracy tells her that she’s wrong, and that she got that company for Brook Lynn. She says she tried to buy it legally, but Lucy wouldn’t budge, so she acquired it by other methods and is giving it to Brook Lynn. Lois isn’t buying this story, but Tracy doesn’t want Brook Lynn wasting her life on music and having nothing to show for it like Lois. Tracy says Lucy would have left Brook Lynn as a glorified assistant, but now she owns 51 percent of the company and as a bonus she gets her one percent of ELQ back too.

Lois asserts that Brook Lynn won’t want any part of this company. Tracy says they’ll see. Lois knows her daughter and she won’t take a company bought through blackmail, and she won’t give up her integrity for it. Tracy tells Lois she already has, that BLQ might be more like her than she’d like, and Lois needs to live with that.

Dex and Dante bring Ava to Carly’s place, where Joss and Carly are waiting. Carly is shocked by Ava’s appearance. Ava asks if Avery is here and if she is all right. Joss says Avery is asleep and fine. Ava goes up to check on her, and Carly asks what is going on. Dante explains that Ava was abducted by Mason Gatlin. Dex and Dante fill Carly and Joss in on how they located Mason and Ava, and what went down on the cliff. Joss is alarmed that Dex could have died and embraces him.

Later Dante leaves, and Ava returns after checking on Avery. Joss promises Ava that Avery doesn’t know anything went on tonight. Carly lets her know that Sonny’s posted extra guards and the estate is safe. Carly has to get back to the hospital and tells Ava she’s welcome to stay the night. Ava thanks her. Joss gives Ava back her phone, and Ava tells Joss and Dex that she’s grateful to both of them. Dex asks Ava if she overheard Mason mention his boss’ name, but she didn’t. She says Mason got a call, and suddenly he got angry and snapped and dragged her out, which is when he arrived.

At the hospital, Austin learns Mason has been brought in with two gunshot wounds. Austin tells Nurse Dione that this is his cousin, so another doctor needs to take the lead on this case. Once she leaves to find another doctor, Austin calls out to Mason and he wakes up. Austin asks where Ava is.

Later the doctor checks Mason over and tells him that he’s lucky as the bullets didn’t pierce his spine. Once alone, Austin asks again where Ava is. Mason admits he has no idea. Mason only remembers Ava screaming when he got shot. The other doctor returns and tells Mason it’s time to take him up to the OR.

Dante arrives and is about to enter Mason’s room when Jordan appears and tells him not to go in there. She tells him to go home as this isn’t his case any longer. Dante reminds her that she’s not the commissioner anymore. Jordan says Mac called her as the Pautauk PD is not happy he showed up in their jurisdiction to take matters into his own hands, and this will blow over once the investigation exonerates him. He asks investigation. She reminds him he shot a civilian and this is standard procedure. She says he is on administrative leave and cannot be here, so go home.

Austin finds Jordan and asks her for an update on what happened with his cousin and Ava. She fills him in, and he grabs a phone to call Ava. She ignores his call. Jordan later asks Austin why Mason would abduct Ava. He claims he has no idea, and his cousin’s always been a wild card.

Sam drops by to see Drew and brings a gift from Scout. It’s her award for outstanding swimmer of the year. He’s so proud of Scout, and Sam says she won it for him. He plans to hang it in his office.

Carly arrives at the hospital and sees Sam with Drew. She then calls Sonny to fill him in and later goes in to check on Drew once Sam leaves.

Back at Carly’s place, Ava ignores more calls from Austin. She then deletes all her notifications.

Outside, Joss asks Dex how close he was to going over that cliff himself. He says Mason was tough to take down, and if Dante hadn’t shown up then he would have gone over. He owes his life to her for sending Dante after him, and they kiss.

Dante returns home and finds Sam fell asleep in bed while reading. He takes her glasses off her, which wakes her up. She says she tried to stay awake, but he says it’s okay and he’s ready to put this day behind him as well. He fills her in on being placed on leave after shooting someone, who may not make it. He climbs into bed with her and says Carly is calling Sonny to tell him what went down.

On the island, Sonny and Nina cuddle in bed. She loves seeing his happy face which looks so unwound as he’s been stressed lately. Sonny says there has been a situation going on for way too long, but when he gets home, he’s going to end it. Nina asks Sonny to keep his Port Charles issue there, and just be here in the present with her. They kiss.

Carly’s call interrupts them, and she informs Sonny about Ava’s kidnapping by Mason, and that Cyrus Renault is out of prison. Sonny fumes, and says he’ll fly home tomorrow. He gets out of bed and says, “Of course, it was him all along!” Nina is confused.

Kristina and Blaze hang out under the stars and Kristina still can’t believe she’s here. They grab some margaritas and toast to Blaze, who says she’s the new face of Deception.

Kristina asks if she always wanted to be on stage, and Blaze says she did. However, the more popular she gets, the more difficult having a life, and dating someone, becomes. She realizes she sounds like she’s whining, but Kristina says she sounds like a woman who is trying to figure out how much she wants to sacrifice to reach her goals. Blaze says one positive of being in the public eye is they never would have met if Kristina didn’t recognize her.

Sonny appears, and Kristina introduces Sonny to Blaze. He knows her as his grandson Rocco loves her. music Blaze is flattered and congratulates him on his marriage. Kristina asks if her dad wants a drink. He declines and explains something came up, and he has to fly home tomorrow to take care of important business.

On the next General Hospital:  Anna plans to be ready for her enemy. Valentin tells Laura things are worse than she could imagine. Finn asks Liz to spend the weekend together. Jordan makes a call to find out who dropped the ball. TJ warns Portia someone was here that she should know about. Maxie tells someone, “It came at a high price.” Trina lashes out at Spencer that this fantasy he has is Esme’s dream come true.
