This week on GH, Charlotte confessed to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that she spray-painted the word “murder” on Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) door.

Charlotte also finally admitted what Nina already knew- she vandalized Anna’s hotel room after her home burned down.

Nina asked Charlotte if she was responsible (for burning down Anna’s home). Soap Opera Digest online interviewed Charlotte’s portrayer, Scarlett Fernandez, and she explained

“Charlotte is shocked to hear that people think that. She didn’t even though people knew about her messing up the hotel, so it is shocking to hear that people think that of her, and she gets upset.”

Even though the extraordinary little actress says that her character didn’t commit this heinous act, the show could be keeping what Charlotte did under wraps.

Obviously, Charlotte didn’t mean to have Anna shoot her, but she still got what she wanted because her beloved “papa,” Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), and Anna are no longer a couple.

Charlotte has been trying to drive a wedge between Anna and Valentin, and she has succeeded. She may have set fire to Anna’s house to run her out of town.

Charlotte has also been programmed and brainwashed by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), and she may have even burned Anna’s home to the ground without fully realizing what she was doing.

Also, whoever started the blaze ensured that Anna wasn’t in the house then. Someone even more wicked than Charlotte may have let her die in the fire.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: An Even Bigger Threat

Let’s not forget the most obvious reason why Charlotte may have been the one to have done the dirty deed: she is a Cassadine. They are notorious for their nefarious ways.

One of the signs of brainwashing is confusion or inability to think clearly. Maybe this is what happened with Charlotte.

GH spoilers suggest that when Charlotte gets out of the hospital, she will still be consumed by her need to take Anna down.

Charlotte knows that Anna didn’t mean to shoot her, but she is playing it up to perpetuate Valentin’s rage against Anna for pulling the trigger. She doesn’t feel one bit guilty about what she did to Anna.

Another side of the coin is that Anna’s instincts as a super spy could be spot on, and there is another, more sinister threat to her safety.

The threat could have a connection with the WSB and may have been the shooter at the Metro Court this past summer when Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) got shot and ended up in a wheelchair.

Jameson Forsythe or someone involved with him may be the culprit. Of course, Anna found out today that someone murdered Forsythe. It adds another layer of terror to the situation.

Anna should reconsider Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) offer for protection. She needs all the protection she can get with Charlotte after her and an even more significant threat lurking in the shadows.
