Many were skeptical of what she had to say about Finn, but we’ve just gone on believing that Sheila really is Finn’s mother. But what if that’s not the truth! Could Lauren Fenmore be John Finnegan’s biological mother?
Fans of soap operas are familiar with Sheila Carter’s history of kid-related shenanigans. One of her first transgressions on the Bold and the Beautiful was changing Bridget Forrester’s DNA results to make Ridge Forrester the father. Sheila desired to become a mother during her marriage to Eric Forrester and, at one time, made up a fake pregnancy.
Sheila is just as notorious for faking things, if not more, on the Young and the Restless as she is on the Bold and the Beautiful. When Lauren Fenmore found out she was expecting, her husband, Scott, shocked her by revealing that Sheila was also carrying his kid.
While Lauren and Sheila both gave birth at the same time, Lauren was informed that her child had passed away. Lauren afterward learned that Sheila had stolen her child and it was Sheila’s baby that had died. Sheila had gotten a black market baby to pass off as Lauren’s and kept Lauren’s baby as her own to raise with Scott.
Lauren and her son were reunited when the truth was eventually made known, while Sheila faked her death and fled Genoa City. But was it the real Scott Jr.?
Will Lauren ever learn that Sheila’s still alive and in L.A.?
The crazy woman could have gone to the black market once more as she didn’t want Lauren to have Scott’s child. As Y&R fans might remember, Scott died on Catalina Island. Fearing she couldn’t raise a child on her own, she might have given Lauren’s real baby to Li and Jack, who named him Finn.
This plot couldn’t have arrived at a better moment given the controversy surrounding Sheila’s motherhood of Finn. It makes sense that someone would be dubious given Sheila’s history of lying. No DNA test has been done to establish that she is in fact Finn’s biological mother, as viewers have pointed out. Sheila could have misled Jack about her pregnancy before giving him a different kid to adopt. When she discovered that Finn had wed Steffy, she made the decision to take advantage of this.
It remains to be seen if Sheila is Finn’s biological mother or not. To Steffy’s dismay, she was nevertheless adamant about entering his life.
Sheila was certainly a large element of Lauren’s recent reflection on her life experience. Lauren, of course, only has the worst recollections of her former enemy. Lauren would always be tormented by Sheila and what she is capable of because she wreaked havoc in her life for many years. If Lauren knew Sheila was still alive and well in Los Angeles, she would be even more on edge. Lauren held on to the belief that Sheila was killed by a bear because it was, allegedly, the last thing she heard from Los Angeles.
