Shocking news General Hospital Spoilers: Sam Is Pregnant — Will Dante Ever Know His Child?
General Hospital spoilers gush Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) sat by an unconscious Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) beside sharing that she had big news — and he was the only person she wanted to share it with.
So, naturally, she needs him to wake up. Many fans took her statement to mean she wants to tell Dante that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is alive, but others have picked up on a different tone and implication in her voice. Is Sam expecting Dante’s next baby?
And if so, will he miss out on this experience with her? If Dante is projected to be in a coma for an extended period of time, it may leave room for Sam to start relying on someone else to assume his role in her child’s life. Will it be Jason filling those shoes all over again, despite it not being his baby?
General Hospital Spoilers — Baby On Board
When Sam walked into Dante’s hospital room last week and told him she had big news and he was the only person she wanted to share it with, many of us assumed she was referring to Jason’s suddenly alive status. But she knows it’s likely that Dante already knows Jason is alive.
So we have to infer that she was talking about someone else. Was all that talk months ago about whether or not to have a baby — but being happy if they unexpectedly got pregnant — foreshadowing of a surprise pregnancy for Sante?
GH Spoilers – Report History Often Repeats Itself
The most likely person to fill the shoes of Sam’s baby’s father may be Jason. After all, he’s done it before. Years ago, Sam gave birth to a stillborn daughter, Lila McCall.
The baby’s father was, in fact, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). But it was Jason and Sam who were destined to be together at the time, not Sam and Sonny.
She was a short-lived mistress in his life, and we all try to pretend that never happened now that she’s very much in love with his son — who would’ve been her stepson had she and Sonny made things official.
Will Jason step up to the plate once again to be there for Sam in her time of need, and in Dante’s absence, or might someone else take up that mantle this time around?
General Hospital Spoilers — Does This Open the Door For Dante And Lulu Falconeri ?
Much the same way we know Jason and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could never be together unless Sam and Sonny were quite over and done with them both, Dante and Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) can’t just couple up with Sam waiting in the wings for Dante.
If Sam moves on with someone else while Dante is in a coma — the same way he moved on with her while Lulu was in a coma — then it’s much more believable that he might wake up and accept the reality that he’s entering into.
If Dante makes a graceful exit from Sam’s life, albeit sharing a child with her, will that mean he’s free to link back up with the real love of his life — Lulu — should she also open her eyes again?
