General Hospital Comings & Goings: Mac Scorpio Out for Now
GH casting updates see Mac Scorpio (John J. York) leaving the sudser, and his last scenes take place this week. His portrayer, John J. York, is battling two blood and bone marrow disorders — Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Multiple Smoldering Myeloma.
Thankfully, John has a potential donor but will need to take at least three months, possibly four months off from filming. But he promises, “This isn’t goodbye, it’s just so long” and he will be back to General Hospital.
Indeed, there’s a lot more story to tell for Mac because he still doesn’t know Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is his son. We need to see Mac’s reaction to Cody’s lie and their father-son reunion. We wish John luck and a speedy recovery and can’t wait for his return.
GH Casting News: New Danny Morgan on Board
Additional General Hospital casting news promises Danny Morgan has been recast with young actor Asher Jared Antonyzyn. Zakary Risinger played the role for the last two years, but his time on GH has come to an end.
As Halloween kicks off this week in Port Charles, we’ll see Danny trick-or-treating with his mom, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and the rest of the kids. But, things take a dangerous turn.
Also, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) recently returned to General Hospital. Plus, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) is still sticking around. No doubt, there will be plenty of family drama for both of them.
General Hospital Casting Updates: Georgie Spinelli Returns
GH casting news also confirms Lily Fisher is back on as Georgie Spinelli. She’s the daughter of Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). The part was recast in July with Eden Harker, but now Lily is back.
Also, Spinelli recently came back to help save Ava Jerome (Maura West). So, hopefully, he’ll stay on the canvas for a while. Additionally, Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) may be on his way out soon. It looks like the thug will be heading to prison for kidnapping and trying to kill Ava. But, most likely, he’ll be back at some point.
