Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 1, reveals that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) called Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) and filled him in on her wild dream, but she had to hang up abruptly when Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) walked in.

Johnny admitted he overheard some of Holly’s call, but she claimed there was some girl at her school who was jealous because her boyfriend might be into Holly instead.

Once EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) interrupted with the news that they were getting married today, Johnny offered his blessing. Holly, on the other hand, didn’t think it was such a good idea.

Nicole spoke to her daughter privately, so Holly scrambled to come up with an excuse and eventually said it was because of Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).

On Wednesday’s Days episode, Holly played up how much Eric and Nicole used to care about each other before suggesting that she thought they might marry again someday.

Nicole confessed that there was a time when she thought that too, but now she was going to be a family with EJ, Holly and the new baby.

Holly eventually offered her support and assured Nicole that she’d come to the wedding.

Nicole mentioned a green dress that Holly could wear and objected when Holly wanted to wear a tighter, more revealing black one. Holly agreed to wear the green gown instead, but then she wore the black dress anyway!

Back with Tate, he was working at the pub on Wednesday’s DOOL show when Eric = walked in.

Tate hugged Uncle Eric and opened up about a new friend that he wished could be more.

Eric found out the friend was Holly, so he reflected on spending a lot of time with her back when he was married to Nicole.

Tate said he was sorry to hear about Eric and Nicole’s divorce since they seemed like the perfect couple.

Once Tate resumed their Holly discussion, he admitted she was into another guy who was all wrong for her. Tate said this guy was too old for starters, but then Johnny walked in and forced Tate to clam up.

Since Johnny was all dressed up in a suit and wanted to get a tray of food, Eric learned it was for Nicole’s wedding to EJ. Johnny’s updates left Eric looking emotionally affected over Nicole’s marriage new development.

In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Eric sat on a bench and was so lost in thought that he didn’t hear Nicole calling out to him at first. Nicole eventually got Eric’s attention and locked eyes with him.

Back at the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Johnny complimented Holly’s dress and asked why she was against the wedding happening. Holly looked nervous as she prepared to answer.

At Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) place, EJ showed up to ask if he’d officiate the wedding and praised his brother as his role model, so Chad happily agreed.

In bed together, Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) talked to Stefan DiMera (Carson Boatman) about how they needed to score a confession from Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) – one that’d prove he plotted to end Stefan’s life. That would lead to leverage and offer a chance to score Li’s shares.

Stefan suggested they should use Li’s feelings for Gabi against him, but there was a problem since Li knew that Gabi hated his guts.

That would make Li suspicious of whatever they tried to pull, so they had to be shrewd and a bit unconventional.

Stefan hinted about an asset who could nudge Li in the right direction and eventually got a text about this mysterious asset’s arrival in Salem.

In a therapy session with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), she asked Li about the serious relationships he’d had before Gabi. Li admitted he only had one back in high school and mentioned that her name was Xiao-Xing.

Although Li was head over heels, his father didn’t approve since Xiao-Xing was working class and drove her out of town by offering her father a well-paying job at a factory 2,000 miles away.

Li never saw Xiao-Xing again and buried his feelings for her. Marlena helped Li realize that his trauma over that loss led to obsessive, irrational behavior in an attempt to hold onto Gabi.

Once Li understood his problems a bit better, he was grateful to Marlena and truly thought he could get over Gabi with professional assistance.

After Li left Marlena’s office, he got a phone call from Gabi and considered declining it. Li decided to answer instead, so Gabi – who was still lounging in bed – frantically insisted Li had to help her since she’d been kidnapped.
